How warm does it get looks pretty comfortable
As warm as you’d like it. Obviously hotter towards the top and cooler on the floor. Wanted to get a few weeks of use before I really crank up the fire 🔥 😂
Really well done igloo nice work
Thanks, took 24 hrs to build this one lol
@ not bad! Something different at least. Glad enjoying winter
Had to wait a week for the weather to warm up enough so the snow would pack to form bricks … to cold and it was like granulated sugar. Almost gave up on completing it lol. I’ll be putting a other video together showing the process from nearly start to finish
@ our last snow storm had some nice fluffy snow but is melting fast even though in 10-20 degree temps
Must of had some wind to go along with it … speeding up the melting process
They seem like they contain a lot of chemicals
I’m no expert but they look like they are made from highly compressed saw dust. Here’s how Murdoch’s described them “Manufactured from 100% recycled, natural biomass material, Pres-to-Logs produce a hotter, more efficient and cleaner fire,”
How does the secondary combustion chamber work?
@@citadelcleaning324 it re directs the heat that normally would run straight up the chimney and recirculates through the chamber before exiting through the stove pipe.
Love that stove and setup. What's the name of the manufacturer and resource of purchase?
@@josephhaas7636 this stove is made by Winnerwell. You can find them online at winnerwell USA, or Winnerwell UK. Just search for Winnerwell tent stoves and you’ll find the link for both
Just now saw the caption on the bottom of your post with the name of the stove I must have had an alshiemer moment. 😂 .Thanks for responding. 👍 .@@mark.payton.photography
@ no worries lol… most people don’t read the caption or post descriptions
Am I looking at a real igloo here
@@richardsanjose3692 I think it qualifies lol. 8ft in diameter and over 6ft in height. I built it using a couple plastic brick molds hand packing wet snow in them (roughly the same size as a half gallon carton of milk). Took around 1000 snow bricks to build it and 24hrs to complete
Crazy
Crazy that it doesn’t really melt the inside of the igloo lol
Hi Mark, great video, im interested in the woodlander air vented stove, had a woodlander but without windows. How have you found them. Do they soot up much?
Thanks! I don’t seem to have much issues with sloot on the glass especially if you’re not fully closing the damper. Any soot that might form easily comes off with the stove pipe brush. The hotter you run the stove the less likely you’ll get any soot buildup
Awesome!
@@dalevig8118 thanks Dale!
How long did it last?
@@claudiaweber7011 with the damper wide open about 2 hours

@@rickyzuron burns hot and clean
What's the size of that tent Mark?
It’s 13.5ft in diameter with 3ft sides and 9 ft at center pole
Thanks. Please do a review on the stove. I have the woodlander standard, I'm contemplating if I will upgrade to that one.
@ I have a setup video posted here on TH-cam. Shows me taking down the woodlander, comparing it to the Nomad and setting up the new Nomad
Hot n fast
Hot yes… fast about the same as traditional split wood
Have never tried a winner well stove but they look awesome
I have two of them… the Woodlander Double View External Air and the Nomad Double View External Air. Perfect wood stove for hot tent camping
@ they look really well made. Maybe next season will be able to get one
@@kokadjooutdoors620 highly recommended
can you run the stove without the external air attached?
@@gonefishingapodaca absolutely! It will just draw inside air from the rear of the stove… just like a traditional wood stove that draws air from the front. Burns the same but will use outside air to supply the stove instead of using the air from inside the tent.
Buena estufa 👍
@@malacarabushcraft1451 thanks 🙏
Thats pretty good if it did survive 70mph winds
@@Ryan-u5f winds blew the barn down next door. Tent made it through without a scratch. It’s survived 4 high wind events since I set it up in June. This was the worst of the four. Wind was around 50mph in the last clip. Went inside before the big gusts hit
nice video mate! would love this stove up here in Sweden. but how much does the sideglass sot? does the sot burn off? im also using a belltent but with a steel woodstove (Robens Kobuk) i have to preheat the small glass in the door with my propane torch to keep it relatively clear. i want to be able to see the fire clearly, thats the only reason im thinking of upgrading. would it worth it? since the price is quite hefty and i need to buy extra pipes to top mount the chimney. it can get pretty cold during the winters so i want as much pipe inside the tent as possible :) kind regards Zoran
@@ZoranBerntsson the glass stays clear or clean when you run the stove wide open and can get covered with soot if your not burning a clean fire. However it’s pretty to wipe off with a soft cloth and ash when cold or ill occasionally use the wire stove pipe brush to clean off the glass when hot.
That's very romantic

@ cooking at home 🏠
If it were sunny-side-up eggs i would have taken it from ya immedieately
I'd happily eat it.....but not complaining.....but truthfully the pan should have been hotter.....and i know that isn't easy......be it electric or fire
Oh and season it before.....if possible 😂
Probably so but I think I was just trying to make a quick video …. I prefer to grill or smoke my meats lol
If Wendy’s served steak lol I’m just joking because the shape. It looks great!

@@natron187 thanks!
Wow.. awesome
@@NSNG1540 Thanks, glad you like it
Goooood..But What's that pipe attached on the sides ..
@@NSNG1540 that’s the external air intake that’s used to draw air from outside the tent to fuel the fire. Effectively preventing cold air from being drawn into the tent to freed the fire like a traditional wood stove would
@mark.payton Oh great..thanks 👍
Nice set up Mark. The platform guarantees may moons of enjoyment.
Thanks! I built it this past May. Cost me around $600 for materials but so worth it to be able to leave this tent setup year around

Do you think there is a firebox capacity difference between the two? Which one holds more wood. Thanks!
@@reljin2 I’d say that maybe the Nomad might have a slight edge over the Woodlander in capacity
Drive up camp I bet
There’s a tent platform so yeah
ozzie dai escutava muito esta musica
Rock 🤘
I dont know why they didn’t include the removable circular plate on top for this model which would have made it compatible with the smoker…I am in the market for one and due to needing the smoker will have to go with the single side window pane instead of this double window model 😞
I wasn’t interested in the removable top burner plate but I can see your point though
Would love to try a winner well eventually. Look like quality gear
I’m a huge fan of these stove and the build quality is top notch 🙌
@ some day will try one. Prices just keep going up makes it tough to try another brand. They do look awesome. Like how couple take bigger logs need a bigger stove eventually

Think the external air is worth it? I'd be curious to see how the stove heats using external air vs without. Thanks for the upload.
@@UsernameForTubing I’m not really sure … before cutting a hole in my tent I ran this stove with a few burns drawing from inside the tent and still got hot. Might be more noticeable in single digit temps maybe
The song sounds like a fart
I guess 🤔😂
Overkill
Won’t be over kill when the temps drop into the single digits
