Possible that noise is the seal's around the machine. Try clean them it could help. Or replace as some times there dislodge or split

That pipe at the side where the dirt goes up the duct is called the valve pipe the change over valve is that purple part that slides up and down.

Just got mine today to find out he smells like he’s burning when I turn him on and that the pump switch doesn’t work

If it worked b4 u took it apart it's obvious that it's got something to do with the motor so just reverse whatever u did in the first place. Also you've probably broke it at 13:58 cuz it looked like u was pulling the cable out.
