Hi, I’m Andy. I’m 54 years old and I live In the beautiful city of Bath in the U.K. I started this Channel to document my journey in to fishing and specifically Tenkara fishing . I first picked up a Tenkara rod in April of 2021 and it was the first time I’d fished in over 35 years. My father was a fly fisherman and I’d fished with him occasionally when I was a teenager and into my early twenty’s until his sudden passing in 1994. I’d never really had any interest in fish, but after my own children were born I started becoming more interested in the outdoors and and taking my kids on wild adventures. Fishing was a natural progression as it provided a way of feeding ourselves while in the wild.

Tenkara came to my attention after watching a TH-cam video demonstrating the lightweight and compact rods and simplicity of the fishing method. After purchasing a rod and landing my first trout, I was hooked!!!
