In this video i prep and paint the chassis with red oxide primer to help protect it whilst it still has no back on and is still exposed. It came out pretty well although there are some sections around the engine bay that i couldn't get to, so they will have to be done when i remove the engine. A commentary of my scramble up crib Lem in North wales. This scramble is hidden away in the Carneddau range and takes you to the summit of Carnedd Dafydd. it takes over an hour to hike up the valley from Bethesda, but well worth it on a good weather day as the views are amazing. If you drain the oil in the differential make sure to tilt it from side to side when you replace it so you get oil to the wheel bearings. And yes threads are left hand on the drivers side and right on the right side or vice versa. Be sure and check so you don't break a stud. I found out the hard way myself.

@@geoffreymills9932 yeah 👍 I did try lifting the cab slightly to take the weight but because the bolt was a pretty tight fit and the mounts tucked into eachother, lifting the cab caused it to then pinch on the top annoyingly and there didn't seem to be any free spot without any pressure, so cutting and replacing the bolt became the easiest option

Looks good! That left hand thread wheel studs - too bad that wasn't caught before you had those other troubles.. If I'd thought of it I would have suggested it. My Dad had a Freightliner truck that had left hand threads on one side. - I think it was some theory of things coming loose because or the direction of rotation.

Its funny how some things I notice and others I don't. I live in Canada and obviously drive a left hand drive vehicle, but also have 4 right hand drive vehicles that I drive regularly. Have my British license since 1990. So watching this one, it suddenly occurred to me that you're working on a left hand drive vehicle, not a right hand drive! ( maybe I'm too busy..)

My profile photo is a 59 Chevy I put a Detroit Diesel engine in it. (few videos of that posted). I'd like to hear this one running. What make is the engine? I liked the video short & sweet.
