@@AisForAliceBisForBob The sculpture was a gift from my son this past Christmas. My interpretation of it relates to divisions in our society that resonates especially now. It’s made from one of those laser printers I think. Funny thing about Belgian chocolate. When I returned from my trip I brought some home for Brenda and upon our next trip to Sam’s club we saw the same chocolate selling there! All I could say was my version was fresh?😊 My intention is to go to Buffalo in July. I hope you will be able and healthy to go also. Lambert and Ham were formidable and if you got past them Mel Blount was waiting for you 😠.

Thanks Mike. As soon as I spotted that sculpture at a church sale I snapped it up. It reminds me of Anthony w his cigars 😊. Steve was moved by my milk carton spoof on his disappearance. He is such a generous person to so many of the vc. I wanted him to know he was missed by many of us.

@@stevecarlsonvinylcommunity9147 hi Steve. Indeed it was the same Denon I spoke of. I bought a Marantz to replace it and I’ve since upgraded that to another brand 😎. Now the Marantz sits idle! I went from a cd player to a cd transport and a separate DAC. The flea market can surprise with some good finds but more people are scarfing up cds because of record prices. Last summer there was a record store owner that was liquidating his inventory after closing down.

@@JBLClassic thanks Frank. That old system took awhile to get on an airman’s salary and I do miss it. I’m not optimistic about the Steelers chances but eliminating Baltimore would make it a successful season 🍻

@ My Airman’s salary stereo was a pair of Magnepan 1.6, Proceed Amps with a Music Hall MMF-5. I could never get a sound I liked out of it though.

@ wow I had that MMF 5.1 myself after I sold the Thorens. Then I traded it up for a VPI Prime. The electrostatic speakers always sounded good but lacked the bass I wanted and there weren’t many subs available back then.

@ I traded mine for a VPI Classic v1 but I dropped it on the basement floor when a pipe burst. I bought a Rega after that and I’ve had it ever since.

Yes it took over a year paying off layaway at the PX to get that system. Man it rocked. The RTR cost me $700 at the time and now it’s 15k for a refurbished one, if I only knew. I sold it for what I bought it for so I broke even at that point but small consolation. Thanks for checking in.

I have several but not all of their studio stuff but plenty of good live albums including the Filmore concert. Alvin Lee was one of the best. The box set is excellent. It’s a frequent pick since most of the albums are 35 minutes or less but lots of excellent guitar and blues are packed in it. You’d love it too and it’s not too expensive.
