This is an improved version of the first full game TAS I have ever made. It is a 16 star speedrun done after the RTA beginner route and saves 2 minutes and 20 seconds, or 4229 frames over the old run. Like back then, this entire run was TASed by me (L3dry). @@RadozaGuy That’s just repeated diving. When Mario dives, his horizontal speed increases by some multiplier. So basically Mario performes a dive, then falls of the sign, turns around, and then he dives again. This process is repeated. The sign is good because you can quickly fall off after diving since it’s floor surface is pretty small.

@@ledry fr why you take the American version? ik in TAS poeple most taking american version. But if you Aiming a TAS record. you must take the japanese version with a shorter peach intro and more. its faster for 16 stars
@@q0a8 There is no explicit reason why I chose the american version. Its probably because it was that version of the game I just had ready. This isn't trying to break any records or compete against other TASes so it doesn't matter to me. This was just to show my improvement on TASing SM64.
