Ms Fatih clearly doesn’t have a clue on the subject. We were in the meeting to address her publicly calling American Jews “scum”. Publicly being a board elective. In her opening remarks she brought up topic of Israel- Hms war - which is a hot topic but totally irrelevant to the purpose of this meeting. If she had any brains, she could get out of the situation by apologizing, blaming her emotions etc - just something to calm down the heat. But that’s if she had brains which obviously she does not. And see who she was supported by….Hysterical disheveled women that also addressed the topic of war and of course, blamed the victim. Total lack of basic knowledge of the topic, twisting the facts - the supporters are the same as the hypocritical undereducated and simply ugly and awfully looking so called woman.

Antizionism is the new face of Antisemitism. A vast majority of the Jewish people around the world are Zionists. "Zion" is the anceint name of Jerusalem. A Zionist is someone who believes that the Jewish people should have a right to self-determination in their ancestral homeland. For an elected official to call Zionists "scum" on social media is completely wrong. She now knows that many of her constituents are Zionists. These are her neighbors and coworkers. Truly shocking to see how she was treated. If she was wrong, as one person, they were worse as an angry, mocking, disrespectful & undignified chorus as she expressed herself. Why does her suffering not matter & theirs does? Grown adults who failed to see the irony of their behavior as they attempted to bully her for expressing her pain. I agree that the manner with which she expressed herself was not ideal, but who are we to tell the victim how to respond to their oppressor? Even if you don’t agree with her perspective, as a Lebanese woman, of course she will speak out against those who are murdering her people! Weaponize one’s own suffering to hurt others is an injustice like no other. I understand their pain. But as we learned in KG, 2 wrongs don’t make a right. Shame on these community members and non-community members for laughing and degrading her as she spoke with respect & restraint.
