Unfortunately it only works with SteamVR titles so far, just because you have to run Liv on Steam along with the game.

Hi, personally I wouldn’t risk it, Germany is still very strict with covid restrictions at the moment and it would be worse if you got covid from going out and about. They have many many checks aswell especially flying to HK so I’d say stay safe. Make sure you’ve not got covid before you go, bring hand sanitizer, and a couple of fresh masks. Hopefully by the time you go they shorten the quarantine period when you get to HK. Good luck & enjoy your trip!

@@hatzyrihernandez6979 Yes so you need, negative PCR Test certificate (mine was with Randox), your quarantine hotel booking confirmation, your covid vaccination records, passport and other forms of ID if you have (So I’ve got a HKID) and finally your boarding passes. There was also supposed to be a step to check you’ve downloaded the ‘Leavehomesafe app’ but they didn’t check that on me. I talk more about the app in the other vlogs I’ve uploaded.

You can use link cable, will still work the same.

It was soooo expensive, this was a family quad room and it was around $2400HKD a night. Cried myself to sleep for the whole 7 nights haha.

The best order is to: -Make sure your Liv settings are ready -Cast your headset to a browser first from the oculus dashboard -Check that your headset view is all ready on your OBS or Streamlabs OBS -Hit up air link mode and go into your virtual desktop -Launch Liv and a game (you can also test that your chat is working at this point by going over to your twitch channel and type something in chat then check inside your headset you can see it in game). -Finally if everything’s working on your Broadcasting software. Hit Go Live! Hope this helps.

I almost gave it up after so many set backs but I was too committed as this point and too much money had already been spent to not go. Currently in my 7 day quarantine here and it’s not too bad.

I’m also going down from Manchester and slightly anxious about the PCR test and I’ve had to book another flight and hotel because I had booked the wrong hotel date to quarantine :/ sucks more that I can’t get a refund either but hope it all goes well in the end!

@@umairkhan2468 Sounds like you have it as rough as me, I was supposed to go with my sister and in total I must have spent triple what she spent and I’ll have 2 days less than she will. Good luck on your end 🤞🏻.

Hi, I did for the first 2-3 days then after that I started perking up and it was. Just a slight cough. Strange thing was my sense of taste and smell was in overdrive instead. It was so sensitive that strong smells gave me headache and all food tasted too salty. Thanks for watching!

Ah this may be your problem, as stated in the video you can only use this method with SteamVR Games, can’t use Liv with oculus store games.

@@JChanman55 well as an exemple Gorilla tag is on the Oculus tore and steam VR is it then also the case that you can only do it on steamVR?

@@christiaanscheidweiler2176 If you purchased the game and playing the game from Steam it will work alongside the Liv App. If you purchased the game from the Oculus store and playing it from the Quest then then Liv won’t be active. No Liv no Twitch chat unfortunately.

@@JChanman55 when i try to open a game on streamvr then it automaticly closes Liv

@@JChanman55 bassicly when i do something outside of the app (like move to my desktop) it just doesnt show up anymore

It should still be working in the background, check the tray on the bottom right hand corner of your desktop to see if it’s still running? Or even get task manager up and it shows all programs that are running. If they are fully not running when you check then the only thing I can think is to uninstall Liv and start again. Not sure if there’s an update on it recently but it still works fine on my end.

​@@JChanman55 do you know how i can stream gorilla tag from my oculus home (from oculus store cuz my room is way to small to even turn around) ​i cant get the twitch chat in my own oculus home only in the airlink seccion

I’m not sure personally as I didn’t try it with the cables. A few people have asked here, all I can say is try and and let us know here whether it works or not for those thinking of doing the same thing. Good luck.

Yeah, you'll need: -LIV -SteamVR -Your Game (VR Chat) -Streamlabs OBS/OBS -Your browser window to cast your headset into the window.

Hello, are you playing these games off Steam or are they bought on the Oculus store? It won’t work if you are playing Quest games. They need to be games bought from Steam that can run simultaneously with the LiV App.
