I’ve had the pleasure of shooting a wide range of projects over the last 7+ years. Which usually includes thinking big picture constantly. But the thing that will always stick out to me the most, are the moments in-between. It’s what makes great films. Living in that present moment is the whole reason why you do it in the first place. To capture life in its most honest form. And feel something deeply moving. And to share it with others. So, shortly after shutting off the camera, I joined the wedding party in their dancing. To experience the moment with others around me. Storytelling through film is a lot of things. But my favorite way to look at it is this: an experience that lives in the tension between the known and unknown. That “dance” is the in-between moment that deserves recognition.
