2017 Audi Q7 AC not working FIX!!!
Temporary solution to AC compressor not turning on. Common issue: High pressure ac sensor no signal also ambient sensor no signal. Problem fixed by running a wire from the red plug T17b/6 (purple /white) wire inside the car located under the driver side foot rest, to the purple/white wire on the high pressure sensor plug in front of the car.

How did you remove the plastic cowl cover? I don't want to break mine.
@@rbailey225 after you remove the wiper arms the plastic cowl it’s easy to remove
Please keep making Touareg repair videos Love my 2008 4.2 v8
Take off the subframe mount to remove the whole assembly in one piece.
My Ac not working they told me it could be my compressor I’m thinking it might be my fuses what do you think
It could be a fuse, but check all the links on the comments section. People encounter different solutions to these problems.
Thanks Manny. I will try this next weekend. Do you have the name or link to the audiworld thread?
www.audiworld.com/forums/q7-mkii-discussion-211/c-compressor-wont-come-3043620/page5/
th-cam.com/users/shortsA1Wb8EaeQlE?si=1F0cmN8q8s0r1JAT TH-cam does not allow links to the pictures I uploaded, but I did exactly the same process here. The LIN bus cables under that carpet are definitely breaking due to corrosion.
Thank you for your input! Did that fix your issue?
@@mannysolution there are no error codes left. All sorted. 🎉
@@T-programmer thank you for your useful información. I’ll pin the link to the top comments for others to see
I add the links but they are automatically deleted by TH-cam?
Today these problems are solved! I removed the seat and checked the main wiring harness under the carpet. The 4 LIN bus wires in the wires going from the rear air conditioner were corroded and broken. I reconnected them all and wrapped them tightly with cloth tape to make them stronger. You can take a look at the pictures from the links.
Was this the drivers seat or the passenger seat?
Y para la q5 2010 no trabaja el compresor
No se si tiene el mismo sistema. Por ser diferentes modelos
I replaced it and ita still leaking from the boot😢
Was it new or used? Used parts are usually hit or miss.
@@mannysolution new
@@jesusmata9565 a new part should not be leaking.
@@mannysolution i know gotta look under good see where the leaks from,
Was a bolt loose on that rack? Did you have to replace rack again?
@manny Vega! Quick update bro, one of the fine gentlemen on the Audiworld forums(ggms16) posted a pic recently on where to find the wire for the rear blower, seems easy enough so it'll be my next project.
Rear blower now fixed! Ice cold in the back too, the air sensor I dont really care about. All I had to do was remove the top trim off the back of the center console, remove 2 screws, get behind the AC controls and splice the purple white wire, I did it the lazy way so I ended up connecting to the exposed wire from my last job so I didnt have to reopen the front trim pieces. Worked like a charm!
This sounds better !!
Do you know what the letter under the barcode means? I got a N and a placement part has a S
According to Audi it’s a variation of the part number or an update on the part.
what are the differences 8e0907279 to 8e0907279F? Because i have a A4 B6 1.8T 2002, wipers are not working, and i bought this ONE 8e0907279 and my car currently using 8e0907279F

I replaced the thermostat there's no leak or sign of coolant splash ..the pump looks clean and it doesn't make any noise but the coolant doesn't move at all in the radiator the radiator and fluid looks clean too..please any advice?

The heat message came on my cluster so I turned the heater on full blast and also shut the engine off a couple of times untill I drove it home but no more over heat light after that I hope no damage was done . Tomorrow I'll change the pump and the radiator as the next two steps.
Thank you for sharing this video!! Looks doable and I’ll be attempting soon!

Did you tried the wire bypass to the sensor?
Did you clean the connectors from the ECU? Any updates on getting the rear blowers to work?
I haven’t done it yet, been busy with other cars. But video will come soon, I’ll keep you updated
@@mannysolution I'll give it a try on my own q7 tomorrow and report back. I did the wire to the pressure sensor but will also add the ambient sensor tomorrow. I really need the rear blower to work
Let me know how it goes.
@@gassan16 hey there, any update to this - the bypass worked great, rear blower still showing the same code. :(
@@AhmedBhayat cleaning ECU connections didnt work. I’m sure it’s something inside the cabin. I wired the Pressure sensor and the humidity sensor and those codes are gone, cold AC, but still no rear AC, I looked at the rear ac blower module and it seems to have the same colored cable, so I will soon wire that one to the same spot and see if it works. I believe blower is under center console
great video! I've got a super weird one though. Why would the turn signals, head lights and wipers not work when the interior lights are dimmed? I have VCDS and I've coded my new BCM/CECM to my S4 and I've used the Adaptation setting to attach the new VIN to the new box and its still not updating. I am completely lost as to why the new box will not attach the VIN. Every scan I keep getting the 01794 "Control Module - Incorrect Chassis (VIN) Number" fault. Anyone else run into this issue??????
Check inside the ECU box these cars are known for having water inside the ECU box. There’s some relays in there that sometimes get corrosion by having water inside for long and would cause all kinds of issues.
You opened the wrong screws of the tensioner. you only had to open the one 12mm screw at the end of the tensioner where the hydraulic spring is. But youve opened the two screws of the bottom casing that was holding the the tensioner. this made removing the tensioner out difficult. Once that one screw at the hydraulic spring was removed, the tensioner would have rotated around the water pump and come out, making your job much easier
Thank you for your input, next time I’ll do that 🙏🏼
How much was the part ???
I paid around $40 dollars on eBay
@@mannysolution thanks bro I see alot on like for $40 range I called O'Riley and they told me $200+ no mamees lol 🤣 I'ma order it rn I appreciate you bro have a good one padre
No problem bro! I’m here to help
This can cause it to hella leak rite bro ? Because it only leaks when iturn on the car or basically when ignition isturned over but itwasbad today ? If the gas tank was cracked wouldn't it leak constantly???
Yes this can cause a leak that you can smell as soon as you open your car. Mine was cracked and it looked like someone had try to repair it before. After replacing this filter no problem.
How kuch was the part I've been having this Q7 it's a good family car @@mannysolution
Tu bro! I fix my ac
Thank you bro, This explanation is really good. I also own a 2016 Q7 4M. I have been having problems with AC for 2 days. I am getting the following 3 different errors and I will examine the sockets you explained in the video first thing tomorrow. My DTC Error codes are ; - High pressure sensor, no signal - Outside air quality/air humidity sensor, no signal - Rear fresh air blower control module, no signal.
Those are the codes I was having. But after doing this my ac is working except for the rear blowers . I will try to figure out the root of this problem.
@@mannysolution The AC worked the way you described, which is great! However, as you said, the rear blowers are not working. Did you find anything else about this? I will continue to work on it. By the way, one last thing: Audi service asked me for 30 thousand euros for this problem, can you believe it? 😊
it’s crazy so many people are having this issue. I will get to the bottom of it one day😅. 30 thousand it’s ridiculous, glad you could fix it for less 😂
Why did u replace it?? Was it making a crunching noise of any type that u could hear from front end and feel in ur floorboard????
Mine was just leaking fluid through the boots
thanks you, Could someone show me a video of why the central locking system could not work?
I have a sg5 when I push the AC bottom, the AC light do not stay on. Blows hot air.. going nuts this just happened a few hours ago when it was 102 in NJ..
In my case the ac light was turning on fine. Maybe you’re low on refrigerant
Hey bro, I've got a couple of quick questions: 1. Where did you route the wiring in the end? Did you create a new hole in the firewall behind the foot cover? 2. I tried removing some of the panels and got the top two off, but the bottom one seems stuck and wont budge at the bottom. Did you have to take off the door sill/foot sill plastic to access it?
Honestly I haven’t route it through the car yet because I haven’t had any time. I just route it through the door and the fender for now but most likely will have to make a whole some where, but My goal is to find the short and fix it correctly.
@@mannysolution Fixed it - thanks for the video brother!! I also didn't run the wire properly yet, ran it under the bottom engine covers and then under the door sill. Front AC vents are blowing ICE cold but the rears are not working yet still have that rear blower module code and air quality sensor code. For another day... lol.
@@CornerCamTo no problem man! My rear vent are not working either but I’m happy at least I have ac in the front with the hot days we’ve been having lately.
@@mannysolution Exactly! just happy its working - what I'll be doing next is running a wire from the High pressure sensor to the Air quality sensor - might fix both codes at once. Based on how many people have talked about this looks like a common point of failure.
@@CornerCamTohi bro, did you know find any way to fix the other sensor issue? Thx
Enjoy that Ice Cold air brother!! :)
Yes bro! I’m so happy right now 😄
This is an awesome video! Replaced both ww fluid pumps and they still didn't work. I knew my lights were also turning on as soon as ignition was turned on but never would have thought both problems would be connected to the BCM. I have high hopes that I will be able to fix all these issues on my car! Thanks for the video bro.
What ended up being the fix for your car? I got these 3 codes and I bought the switch thinking it may fix it, I'll be trying your method on installing it over the weekend. 262658 - High-pressure sensor - no signal 263171 - Outside air quality/air humidity sensor no signal 393510 - Rear fresh air blower control module no signal. I believe my car has a shutter can I still access it using this method or would I need to take the bottom engine cover off.
I had the same codes but replacing the sensor didn’t fix the issue, my ac still not working.
@@mannysolution ah damn, I found an forum that mentioned it could be a wiring issue from the air quality sensor to the high pressure sensor. I'll try this first, if not might have to drop some money on having a mechanic check it out.
Please post any updates on this video hopefully we can figure it out together I want to help others solve this issue
@@mannysolution Yeah for sure! Will do!
@@mannysolution Quick update: The new pressure sensor didn't resolve the issue, I also checked the fuses, none were blown. Next, I'll be inspecting the wiring over the next couple of days. If that's not the issue, it might point to a problem with the compressor. I'm really hoping it's not the compressor though. The issue was sudden and random; the error codes timestamp perfectly with the AC failure.
what was the reason you changed it? I have the exact same suv and mine has a hard time cooling, like compressor wont engage, I usually have to run the suv for a few minutes with the ac system off, then it finally comes on.
My problem is the compressor is not turning on. I hooked up the scanner and gave me a high pressure sensor fault, I replaced it but didn’t fix the issue.
@@mannysolution oh man. These suvs are lovely but when they give problems, omg
Dude, thank you for the quick instructional video! This is exactly what I was looking for.
Glad it helped!
You are appreciated
Hola Manuel 😊
Hola Rudy!!
Thats not the fuel filter is it ? Looks like a pump
It’s a fuel filter. The electric fuel pump it’s on passenger side, and the other high pressure fuel pump it’s on the engine.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍
How many miles on the car? Was it overheating? Or just to change it ?
The car has 143k and it was overheating. But the reason for overheating was a head gasket failure , it was in an accident and the person drove the car with a cracked radiator warping the cylinder head.
@@mannysolution ok cuz I’m thinking of replacing my timing chain but they say it’s recommended to change the water pump too…
Yeah, you might as well replace it because in order to get to the timing chain you have to remove the water pump.
May I ask why would you change the timing chain? What mileage do you have? Thanks…
Whst was wrong with the old steering rack?
It was losing all the power steering fluid and it was coming out of the boot.
Havin a little trouble with the drivers side wiper arm huh??? It took me a while to separate it...
Yes it’s a bit hard to remove but it’s doable.
Thank you, great video.
I’m getting ready to replace my rack and pinion is my 2007 , when you put the new one in did you have to take that top part that feeds to the inside of the car when you put the new one in?
Yes I removed the top part of the rack and pinion in order to slide it out of the driver side of the car. You can also get an inch or 2 if you loosen the subframe a little bit but not remove the subframe bolts completely, just enough to get more wiggle room.
any idea if this is the same for the 1.8t engines
To my knowledge they have the same mount location , so same procedure and more space for you since you have the 1.8t engine.
Perfect explanation!) u are the best) best video ever to change Engine Mount by audi a4 b6/ b7 or Seat Exeo) VW PAssat and Skoda Superb same way)
Thank you,I’m glad I could help.
Thanks Manny for your informative video. I also have a few electrical symptoms in my B6, like ac flaps are constantly moving after the car is turned off, dipped headlight error all the time as well as the light switch that does not turn off the headlights. Do you think the dipped headlight error is coming from a faulty BCM?
Most of the electrical problems this car’s have comes from water getting into the BCM and CCM. The headlight switch and headlights are controlled by the BCM the part I replaced, but you should also check under the carpet (driver side) for water under there. And also under the hood where the ECU lives. Let me know if it helps.
Esse módulo também é do ar condicionado?
Whatever knuckle brained IDIOT replaced the engine mounts on my car last put RED LOCTITE on the bolt and tightened it down to 1000000 ft lbs. I'm literally going insane trying to remove this mount, because there's barely any room and any wrench I use on it just slips off. I was thinking of maybe taking an oil filter wrench and grabbing the mount and trying to twist it off. I've blasted the bolt with fire, WD-40, Acetone, and PB Blaster and no matter what I do I can't get this damn bolt off. Also, very good video. No hate :)
Check if your rack and pinion boots are greasy. If they are,That’s a sign of a bad rack and pinion.
I own a porsche cayenne and i have a strong whining noise only when turning the steering wheel right. is this a sign that the steering rack is failing? Or could it be the power steering pump?
