Yes mate there is long time ago i lived j.b.smiths timberyard on bridge road, stockton and we had tunnel from over our stair which went to the river as smuggles just it a lot as i believe but have heard story that there is a city of tunnels under stockton and billingham sadly now i only know of one but yes heard is an escape tunnel for the priests here there used be couple building in corner of the part but dont remember much about them.

@@simonbull1971 I live in southern New Mexico and am planning to visit southern UK next year. I would like to get up north to Scotland too, but I'm not sure I can make it on this first trip to the area.

@@michaeldeierhoi4096 what part of South England you going to? if its london way then yes its long way to Scotland but lots to see.

@@simonbull1971 I'm most interested in the area around Old Sarum. The castles and cathedrals and some of the old Anglo-Saxon churches. There are some fascinating cathedrals further north that I would like to get to, but it's been 40 years since I was visited the UK last so I want to focus more the south this visit. Maybe spring will be my plan to be there. Thanks for your response.

They are great was bit of surprise finding them was only think 2 people there when i got there.
