Some PRO TIPS for dreadnoughts in general and a few for each specific variant: Slowdown effects are wonderful against dreadnoughts, as they give you and your team more space to fight them. (Sludge pump, freeze, stun, dazzler module for the shard diffractor or densification beam for the microwave cooker, etc) If you think the room a dreadnought is in may be a little cramped or hectic, you can lure the dread back to spawn as its a guaranteed large room to fight it in. Easiest ways to do this is to have the whole team set up in spawn and either have the scout pop it and run, or simply set up some driller c4 next to the cocoon and blow it when your team is ready. Freezing is good against almost all the dreadnought types (except the twins), as they are large slow targets and thus prime choices for that sweet 2× damage from being frozen. NOTE: all dreadnoughts are highly resistant to elemental damage, most of all fire, so trying to ignite them is ill advised. TWINS TIPS: try to keep their health as even as possible, as they only heal when one twin is a good deal lower than the other (except for 1 time during the fight where they are guaranteed to heal reguardless). Armor breaking mods for guns are only useful against the twins, as they are the only dreadnoughts that have armor that can be peeled away. Also, their face takes full damage so try to hit them there. GLYPHID DREADNOUGHT: shoot it in the ass, simple enough. Bring some anti-swarm stuff for when it shoots swarmers at you if your primaries dont do good AOE. HIVEGUARD: the tankiest of the dreads, this thing is one hell of a beast. The glyphid sentinels it sends out are also fast little shits that can turn on a dime, so trying to jump around or behind one that is actively chasing you wont make it easier to hit its back-facing weakpoint 99% of the time. When you finally break through to the hive guard's main weak point, its advised to try and stay as close to directly behind it as possible. Hitting the weakpoint from an angle can reduce your damage because its hitbox is a little deceiving. FUN TIPS: While extremely difficult, you can kill dreadnoughts by either blowing up a bulk detonator near enough to one or deal massive damage by hitting it with a resupply. The main health bar has to be opened up for this to work however, otherwise you'll simply meet with failure.
