Connected with the contents in the song “The Other Side of the Wall”, the lyrics convey a heavy focus on pushing on, rebellion, and to literally ‘cross a wall’. We would like to interpret this ‘wall’ in the song as the ‘ending’ of WON★TON’s story that is impassable and believed to be void on the other side. However, we believe that our stories truly have no end - that they will continue on as long as we keep trying to cross to the other side of the wall.
Continuing from the events of R2, the Neo Phantom Thieves comes to terms with the true mastermind - Umesaka Sheryu. Revealing that what she did was for the entertainment of the Gods, the Neo Phantom Thieves found out that they were merely actors in a ‘story’ that she had orchestrated. Though having prepared a predetermined ending for the thieves, they believe they can weave their own new story...
