Just found this! I am so excited!
info sounds wrong on the vowels of the Tetragram - well contradicted by numerous Hebrew scholars
The Christian OT ends with Malachi? I was taught that the Jewish OT ended with chronicles 🤷🏼♂️

Is that Jason Hare?
Colton, how you got interested in hebrew language?
This is gold ❤ 👌
I would just like to point out that tav still has the two sounds in certain communities like chabad. Unless people know this, new Hebrew readers or non chabad get confused and thrown when first visiting these synagogues. Enjoying revision so far. Looking forward to see how you tackle the meatier stuff. 🎉
Hey. Any chance you can do those Hebrew flashcards with Peppa Pig?
*promo sm*
Enjoyed the program. I wonder if sentence 5 might be referencing Genesis 5 verse 24? This day I am taking you heavenward? Not the exact wording though in the Torah.
Why colton is interested in learn hebrew?
I am learning Hebrew on my own, and find it very useful to hear the pronunciation of the language. These lessons are very helpful to me. Thank you.
Are you still here?
Love you! ❤
Hey Jase!
Jason, how you fell in love with hebrew language?
Thank you for your thorough presentation. I found it fascinating that the phrasing of 'troubler of Israel' finds its way into the Elijah tale. Joshua (Jesus) son of Nun is mentioned only twice after his (2nd?) death in Judges. Once just before Elijah is mentioned and once in Nehemiah. I believe the authors were pointing to comparisons with Joshua (Jesus) son of Nun. Have any of you noticed any linguistic similarities between the falling of the walls of Jericho, with the Levites circling the city, and the celebration of building the walls of Jerusalem in Nehemiah, where the Levites play music and circle Jerusalem???
There is a sort of Joshua (Jesus) inclusio, though I dont know if that is a thing in Hebrew literature, tying the beginning and end of Elijah's narrative to Jericho and Joshua's (Jesus's) path. Jericho is rebuilt just before Elijah is introduced, then as Elijah nears his death, he retraces Joshua's (Jesus's) path in reverse and then he parts the Jordan to cross, leaving Israel in a reversing of Joshua's (Jesus's) conquest.
Hi Jonathan!!!!!
Yes
I can hear you... Shalom from Jax NC
At timestamp 37:03, now this is only my observation concerning the use of the מימי/ מי when you read (in Hebrew) the song of Devorah in Shoftim/Judges chapter 5, the litterary style is somewhat similar at times, there is a ' poetic structure ' some sort of what I call, for lack of better term 'a Shakespearian construct' as to how the verses flow. It's not how we speak, but when it is written it has a certain rhythm/beauty to it when we read it. In Hebrew. The words in this particular verse, if you close your eyes and visualize the words and action of the waters of the Yarden piling up on one side and flowing away on the other, make a lot of sense imagery wise. Anyways, that's just my two cents. Great lesson again, thank you.
Spoiler alert! At timestamp 35:17 About where the stones they carry end up: From Rashi commentary: "And you shall carry them over with you: in accordance with Moses’ commandment to build an altar there with on Mt. Ebal and to write upon them the words of the Torah. On that very day, they came to Mt. Ebal, built there with the altar, and offered up burnt offerings and peace offerings, and they ate and drank and peeled them and came and lodged in Gilgal". A bit further in 4:19-20 we will read about where the stones end up.
Thank you, for reading Genesis 1:1-5 slow enough for me to learn. I appreciate you. God Bless!
