This is the beginnings of a PanPastel desert galaxy background on Pastelmat. The idea is to be able to print out the background onto smooth cardstock & then stamp a desert scene & enhance it with more details. So the pastel background itself won't be super detailed. I'm also keeping the colors a bit lighter so there is some room to play with how light or dark we want to make the finished scene....

    Super cool scene! That sky! ❤ I did a panpastel background on pastel matte paper ... when I printed it out, it came out pretty light in color compared to the original. I had also sprayed the original with fixatiff before I copied. That turned the pastel much darker. Between light & darkness ( media, spray) & wanting to print out I'm a little confused on which way to go with heaviness on color with originals. Hope this makes sense.

    • @deannasinkinspirations9302
      @deannasinkinspirations9302 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm glad you like it! I RARELY ever spray any of my PanPastels with any fixative. I don't like how the ones I've tried change the way it looks. If I am going to give away the original I will spray with something though, usually Workable Fixatiff. My printed ones always come out different than the originals, but for me, mine tend to come out darker, not lighter. I would rather them print lighter since I would easily be able to darken any areas I want with my inks. I haven't tried to mess with any settings but I need to. I'm guessing a lot has to do with our printers. I tried having some printed at a local shop & they came out HORRIBLE so that's why I started printing my own. I have been making my PanPastel backgrounds lighter than I normally would lately because of how they print out darker for me. Anyway, keep in mind that spraying will change it, so you may want to print BEFORE using a fixative. And for how they print out, I'm just experimenting as I go. Not sure that helps.

    • @Sandy-yb6du
      @Sandy-yb6du 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks Deanna! I think alot has to do with the printer & settings. My son said an ink jet laser printer ( more expensive than I have) would be the way to go. Anyway, for now I will use what I have. I did not like how the fixative changed the color, so I dont think I'll be spraying anymore. Thanks so much for getting back to me & the video!

    • @deannasinkinspirations9302
      @deannasinkinspirations9302 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ThankfulNanaDiane Shoulder problems are the WORST! I had 2 failed rotator cuff surgeries, then the replacement, so that's why I had problems for so long. Because of all the damage, it took about 9 months post replacement surgery to finally start getting some relief & range of motion. I was to the point I was trying to accept that I would never be able to use my shoulder again without pain. I even had to stop PT, as it was causing more problems than it was helping. I had been through so much PT in the past that I just rehabbed at home at my own pace, with the approval of my surgeon. It does feel awkward, doesn't it? Mine still feels weird. But I prefer the weirdness over the pain & not being able to function. There are minor limits but they don't really bother me (like not being able to reach behind my back). Be patient, allow yourself time to heal & to learn how to use that shoulder in a different way. It isn't going to feel "normal" but it gets so much better!!!!!! Prayers for quick recovery!!!!!!! I'm curious, how many grandkids do you have?
