We are building a replica of the Mercedes 300SL Gullwing. This project involves a body swap.
Guys, we've started a new project, and this time we're building a true legend-the Mercedes 300SL Gullwing! An original car like this costs between $2 to $6 million, but we aim to create a high-quality replica that mirrors its iconic design both inside and out.
We'll fit the SL 300 Gullwing body onto a 2003 Mercedes SLK 32 AMG (R170 chassis), which features a 355-horsepower engine in a car weighing just 1.2 tons. I'm confident that the result will look as close to the original as possible, but with a modern engine, transmission, and suspension.
