Special Message from Priceless Preservation.
TRANSCRIPT:
This is Rob Hoffman, owner of Priceless Preservation. I know a lot of our loyal customers have been wondering what is going to happen next since we stopped taking orders this past March. While we are indeed closed for good, I am pleased to announce that we are transferring all of our equipment to the Ann Arbor District Library so that they can expand their already top-notch offerings of Ann Arbor-focused content. Sometime next year, they hope to start offering digitization and archiving services to their patrons. They also will be looking into the work Priceless Preservation has done over the years to expand on their Ann Arbor collection. These may include home videos, home movies, slides and photos that depict life in Ann Arbor over the years. Be aware that before they add anything to their collection, they will seek permission from each and every one of you. Similarly, you can reach out to them and let them know that you have something that might interest them that we have already digitized for you. Thanks for supporting Priceless Preservation over the years and we look forward to the next chapter in our quest to help Ann Arbor families save their most precious memories.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? We will be closing our Main Street office on or before May 31. We will no longer be accepting new jobs as of Friday, March 29. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR THE FUTURE OF PRICELESS PRESERVATION? We are not completely certain, but we are working on a solution that will continue to help Ann Arbor area residents preserve their photos, films, slides and other digital media. WHAT ABOU...

Film Conversions: Christmas Miracles Do Happen...

Today, we started converting some film reels from the late 40s and 50s and feared the worst. The celluloid smelled like vinegar. It was brittle, curled and overall not in good shape. But our Retroscan Mark 1 Scanner did its work - and digitized some amazing home movie footage for lucky clients who will get to see their grandparents and great-grandparents as they never have before this holiday s...

I was also there, my aunt , cousins took me from Sterling hgts. I was 9 years old standing in front holding the barrier line, I was small, short at the time and most towered over me. I definitely remember 2 helicopters landing right in front of me, so I was only a a short distance from where Nixon greeted the crowd. I cant believe there is a home move of this on youtube after all these years. Like a time warp watching it.

Gordie was a great player, actually the GREATEST. To call him a goon is such an insult to a legend. He is Mr Hockey. Even today. He was a great ambassador for the sport beyond being the greatest complete player ever to play. Gretzsky might have more goals (although if you included WHA goals, Gordie still has more). But Gretzky only had to worry about scoring. Gordie was a complete two way player, leader and fought his own fights. He didn't require McSorley to be traded with him to defend him. So in short from the City of Detroit and the State of Michigan, Kiss our Ass. #9 Gordie Howe is the GREATEST player ever to play and he was a true superstar athlete. Rest in Peace Mr Hockey #9 Gordie Howe ❤🙏

When is it the most important to score a goal? During overtime in a playoffs game. 64 years after his retirement, Maurice « Rocket » Richard is still #2 for playoffs overtime goals with 6. Howe has scored NONE in these crucial moments.

Those sure were the days. Now the original community is almost completely gone. Anyways, the whole neighborhood got boring, the people in the last generation were insane and caused the complete downfall of the whole neighborhood, there were no opportunities or events, etc... I have a friend who came from the lower east side and he told me how it just kept getting worse before it all ended.

Wherever they went, they were swarmed with people who were awed by their looks, gestures, and words. Is it JFK's fault that women fell for him? To some extent, yes, for allegedly failing to control his appetite for the opposite sex but who among the rich and the mighty can claim innocence from this weakness?Even those less endowed with good looks ,intelligence, wealth and power have several illicit relationships and extra marital affairs.LET THOSE WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE AGAINST JFK.
