Would you please explain the concepts of hypothecation and rehypothecation (and its applicability/utility to the precious metals environment) and where this is practiced? Is it a useful tool? Are there laws that require disclosure if this practice is being employed?

Amen! The consequences of fiscal irresponsibility over decades is devastating and borderline criminal.

Are precious metals purchases by individuals coming under increased bank scrutiny due to 1) a proliferation of scammers in the marketplace and/or 2) banks are aware very much aware that depositors are converting their savings to hard assets and are finding ways to slow this flight?

Am 58 retiring next year but the thought of retirement gives me weakness. My apologies to everyone who have retired and filing social security during this time after putting in all those years of work just to lose everything to a problem you never imagined to happen. It’s so difficult for people who are retired and have no savings or loved ones to fall back on.

Some of us definitely are.

The federal reserve and its policies coupled with unbridled political spending on special interest programs have led us to the second Great Depression. It is unavoidable. Even if Trump wins he has Congress and the entire bureaucracy against him. Large corporations will dominate all property sectors. Life for working poor will be hard. The rich will remain wealthy. The oligarchs triumph.

Thanks for the excellent questions. 1/ Yes... but they are nowhere near doing so. And the effects on the gold price should be positive, but too many variables to far in the future to talk intelligently about it. 2/ I do believe so. I strongly urge you to listen to our last On the Move webinar from last week Wednesday with Dr. Nomi Prins. We covered this specific question and a whole lot more. 3/ i don't believe they or anyone could simply pull a number out of a hat and have it stick. It would have to be appropriate at the time.

1) Is it the intention of BRICS nations to issue a new gold backed currency? If so, how would this effect the price of gold? 2) Could such a new currency be backed by a basket of precious metals (as opposed to just gold) and/or even include other commodities? 3) If the BRICS nations declared that for their purposed gold will be valued at $20,000 per ounce, would that stick globally?

It's not helping. We need balanced budgets. Without them, Powell's hands are tied. If we don't start having a serious conversation about fiscal responsibility, we will default. To my understanding, that's not a good thing...Rich

When was the last time physical gold holdings (quantity, authenticity, location) claimed by the United States were independently audited? If this isn't statutorilly required, why not?

Why do 3/5 Americans think we're in a recession? Because we are in a recession. Just because you change the parameters that identify a recession doesn't mean we're not in one. If I go out at 12 midnight and come back into the house and tell everyone it's high noon, it doesn't make it so. Same with the recession.

Why not an ASI "olympic" special ... 40 gold + 44 silver? How about a "126 medals [metals]" bundle?

Speaking of the Olympics ... how about a marketing (call it the House of Cards "Metal" Special) incentive tied to the final gold / silver medal count by Team USA?

Hey Senator Bulworth... Great question. The simple answer is historically it doesn't tend to work that way. The more complicated answer lies in the supply and demand story... which is kind of like a slinky. Supply tends to be dictated by weak demand in a bear market. Producers make only enough minted product to fill anemic demand. Then, demand surges. Supply falls short and premiums rise. Producers scramble to make more product to meet the growing demand. And they invariably overshoot. Then, the market is flooded with product as demand wanes. I always prefer the steady, stair-step approach to higher prices. The 100-year gold chart bears this out. The best time to buy was yesterday. The next best time is today... Rich

While you mentioned that a meteoric rise in price is not healthy due to a "catastrophic" fall on the other side, is this a given? Why wouln't prices just peg at the new higher level?

The internet seemed to like my quote a few years ago with Michelle Makori that "CBDC's were concocted in hell by satan himself." I've also done interviews with Charlotte of Investing News and Kai Hoffman of Soar. Thank you for the vote of confidence, but I am primarily a precious metals dealer... which makes me an evangelist present day.

Why don't u go on interviews with tubers that have millions of views like kitko etc ? U hardly get 100 views
