This ride will to date mate likely be your biggest challenge yet on the bike. I didn’t know of the charity until you mentioned it and if they can help Mrs B then they are a charity well worth supporting. This will definitely be a ride I will be following with a big interest and will support. The hard days of training will be so worth it Jason if it can help people suffering from skin cancer like our lovely Mrs B and many others in the UK.

A nice little ride out for you and Mrs B to the cafe on your scooters maybe mate, I must say that 'Cruffing' did look very tasty.

I did the Tour de Broads ride last month as you did, but did the 100 mile, so a good option for a 100. I thought it was a really good ride.

That was brilliant to see you go around the track mate, It looked like you was using some of the slipstreams to get past some of the other riders on those bends on the inside of the track. 😀Another good ride completed mate.👍. Although it did look like a bit of steep hill at the start to get on the track, so getting that lactic acid pumping early mate.😀

I did the TourDeBroads 100 on Sunday for the first time. Did it with my mate and his club. Thought it was a great event and well organised. Was good to get a proper medal as well as you said, rather than the piece of hardboard many do!!

Another good ride out on the bike it appears mate, well done for completing it despite it being challenging at times. When you was close to that other rider I thought you was sitting in his slipstream to help you get up those climbs lol.. Well done again and I look forward to the next one.

I love the fens. Nice and flat .for people don't like it can't do big hills .but still want to cycle

Happy birthday if you think your age is bad wait till your Seventy , something for you to look forward too. Joking aside keep at it , I have been cycling for over 40 years I accept age and do what I can I still do 4 rides a week unless it rains then it's the turbo due to arthritis. Keep going .

Bloody hell mate, considering the road you was on it could’ve been so much worse. I’m sure you will be ok and hopefully the bike gets repaired soon. On the plus side the video was going so well up-to that point, the views from the island are amazing. I stayed in Shanklin when I went a couple of years ago and on our travels in the car felt the inclines, so on a bike they must’ve been really tough going. I guess the only good thing at the point of the inclines was that you wasn’t going in to a strong head wind. But the main thing is mate your ok and the bike can be fixed. Hope the rest of the holiday went well, and thankfully Mrs B was there to come and get you.

I rode the 100 TdB, (my first ever 100 mile ride) certainly agree about the headwind on the run into the finish. Also, like you, ended up massively dehydrated. Good ride though. Total number of entrants was 1250 for the TdB!

That’s great Jay, to have Active Root ask you to be an ambassador for their products. Who knows, next sponsorship and further endorsements. I’m sure once you get the miles back in the legs it will become a lot easier and by the time you get to the Isle Of Wight the legs will be ready for the challenge. On a side note mate, have you ever considered the superman pose on the decent of some of those hills. Lol.
