Hi! We are Allie & Eric and we're traveling the world, learning about new cultures, tasting strange foods and navigating unfamiliar supermarkets. Sometimes we make videos along the way.
Meaningless Yet Meaningful Podcast Ep. 1
Two recovering perfectionists discuss the struggle to begin new projects - whether it's career research, coding, or this podcast itself. We explore how meditation has shifted our approach to life's challenges, share thoughts on finding balance in work and learning, and reflect on cultural perspectives of growth. An honest conversation about overcoming the need for perfect preparation and learning to just start.

Please don’t disrespect the code of conduct. You are not letting growth in you neither others who want to work dedicated. Such misconduct is prohibited. Practise the tools daily ❤
This is not Umeboshi. Please correct the title.

@@fauzanam170 you can typically volunteer with a tourist visa
Why do we have our phones at Vipassana if they take away all electronic devices? Yes, they're very strict about the rule: No Phones and No Talking, so they took away everyone's phones. However, on the 10th day, they give the phones back and we were allowed to use them and also talk to each other again. This video was recorded on my 11th day (the day of departure) -- that's why everyone is talking in the video :)
Are muslims allowed?.. if yes, can they carry their prayer mats with themselves to pray in their personal room?
@@sophiasart8775 Everyone is allowed. But as part of practice they ask you to leave your current practices away. They specifically mention it to leave things aside for a while, not permanently, just so you can fully indulge in these 10 days. Also, it has been a long time since I went there so maybe I am forgetting something.
Phone not allowed dear, Nd no talking... U are spending ur precious 10days of life..... It will literally transform your life. Please be sincere next time.... For alarm u should keep table clock not phone. It's a big distraction in ur meditation. We welcome you fr next time course. I was suicidal before 10 days of my course in 2018 and even after 5-6yrs i might feel anxious sad.. Since I haven't continued th practice but never ever suicidal. It is a second birth for me. Please don't take my words in harsh way to heart. Blessings. ❤ Mangal ho🙏
you are not supposed to use phone during ten days Meditation, must follow there rules ,
We were allowed to use it on the 10th day (not a real day of meditation since by that point we were allowed to talk again)
😂
Very nice beautiful ❤️
I have also experienced there ... Really so beautiful place in mid of aravali ❤
❤❤❤
Hi, what camera do you use?
At the time we had pixel 7 pros and these videos were just taken on the smartphones
My last day breakfast was poori and sabji and kheer
I've just completed my 10days no words to explain experience and changes in my life. Thanks a lot sn goyanka GURUJI. Again and again thanks. सब्ब मंगलम @dustandoats
We just did the hike. Hard to imagine how you are not just insanely grateful for the porters. Even though the food might not be the best, the work they do is crazy. It’s because of them an unforgettable trip like this is possible, that always deserves a good tip I would say. However, congratulations on finishing it.
@@anneaartrijk4967 i don’t remember exactly what we were thinking at the time, but we had a difficult experience with our guide and that might have gotten in the way of us being grateful for the porters. Definitely agree though, porters deserved a good tip, but we handed our tip money to our guide, not the porters and there’s really no knowing what happens to the money after that.
You were allowed to keep your phone? I thought phones aren't allowed once you start the program. 🤔🫤
@@NeerajBaid007 they did indeed take away our phones. They give them back on the 10th and final day, though, and it isn’t a real full day of meditation.
Ayyy...!!! Que lindo se ve esa granadilla en la pared!! Le da un toque como tropical! 😍

Japan’s got the best snacks, hands-down, and it actually taste better and sounds funny to say better for you than the American shit that we have down here for some odd reason. I don’t feel a fat piece of shit if I eat one of Japan, honey buns compared to the American shit and all depends what they put into it and obviously, everything in America processed the ass fucked up ingredients
now you can't leave you moron
What is the same of this place? I am supposed to go there with a friend next month and this looks good.

Filming it is disrespectful
@@mirrylee984 is that true? If a Vipassana AT tells us to take down the video because it is disrespectful, we will. But we only took video on the last day after phones were given back to us, and we saw many students taking photos and videos during that time.
We were told no filming and no pictures at the centre I attended.
@@dustandoatsmam pls share your re entry experience into normal life.....is any disadvantage of Vipassana u experience after so many days doing it
