@craigtomkinson2837 Ah thats right. Yep we built her specifically for the turbo kit we were installing. Its full turbo spec with the piston deck heights adjusted to suit higher boost (Currently at 20lb Boost). 5" Stainless snorkel and High Volume Airbox from In-House Fabrications, HPS Turbo Kit with the Garrett 2860 Gen II and Top Mount Intercooler with a full stainless 3" Exhaust. Gives her that note. 💪

@craigtomkinson2837 Thanks and much appreciated. Yeah the 105 certainly has a note to it but we love it. It is definitely on the noisy side with the drivers window down as the 5" Snorkel and the turbo spooling up with the 3" exhaust make her sing however, I could listen to it all day long 🙂 With the window up and the AC on its very quiet inside. When I am getting and ear full from the passenger seat, the window goes down. 😂😂

See the other comment. This is not just limited to one place, there is dirty diesel in many places these days and we don't know why. I carry 260lt so when we fill up we get a lot of fuel. We are finding dirt regularly. Safe Travels and thanks for watching our content.

@ I got a stock ford ranger 2016 xlt. Already put a cab on there with csa scorpion rims 17s and about to put a fridge/draw setup in the back. For maintenance you just mean oil, filters every 10k or is there a bit more to it?

@@Dylanoma-d9k nice buy and already some good gear going on her. Maintenance for me, but in saying that, we travel full time. At the end of the day it will depend on what you're doing with it and how many K's you clock up. Regardless though, always keep an eye on coolant levels and the quality of it and change it from time to time. Air Filters, Oil and Oil Filters and fuel filters are crucial. These bits are not expensive compared to a new engine. Transmission oil. Transfer case oil. Front hubs and wheel bearings all round. Uni Joints in the tail shafts are worth checking and greasing if possible. Tyres, always drop your pressures when offroad and rotate. They will last much longer. There is a massive list of things you can add to a 4WD but a few key items like a fuel Pre Filter/Water Separator protect from massive potential damage as per my short vid I posted. DIff and Gearbox Breathers will save you thousands of $$$ if your doing creek crossings. Even with keeping an eye on wheel nuts. Sounds simple but we have seen people stranded in the middle of nowhere because wheel nuts came undone, and a wheel disappeared into the bush at speed. That is a good start. My best advice would be to get to know your truck top to bottom, every nut and bolt. you would be amazed what you can find by simply looking. Stay tuned to our channel. Right up front, I have no "Obligation" to do anything. We travel every day and getting dirty diesel is getting more and more common. It is not just one place, it is many and we are not sure why. This batch came for the Metro in West Wyalong and it is not the first time we have got dirty fuel there. I would recommend anyone with a diesel to install a good quality pre filter/water separator system and to regularly maintain it. Thanks for watching our content and safe travels.

Thanks mate. Yep, we've done a lot of work to the 105 and she eats that stuff up no problem at all. We've done nearly 3000km in the last few weeks and not stopping any time soon. We are actually going to be heading back through the High Country and about two weeks so will get more stuff up on the page. We love the Vic High Country. It's an amazing place. 👍👍👍

Tks @105cruiserguy much appreciated. This is our 6th Landcruiser and our second 105. We looked at a 300 when we first started travelling full time and I decided to stick with my 105 and spend some $ on it. I still reckon it's a far better vehicle. The 300 was nice, but as soft as. Really appreciate your comment. We brought our first Landcruiser in about 1987 and have had different models ever since. Our first Lamdcruiser was a BJ40 and loved that vehicle. Wish we still had that truck as it had everything. We've had a 60 series, a couple 105s over the years and will be keeping this one for good. We have just done Craig's Hut in the Victorian High Country which will be posted on our channel soon. Now in South Australia and will be heading back through the High Country in a few weeks. 100% agree. We travel all over and it never ceases to amaze us how many people are driving off-road with 45 psi or more in their tyres. They can have a few hundred K worth of gear and shake the entire setup to bits. 😮

Well, We've had Landcruisers all our lives so a bit biased. At the end of the day we buy what we can afford and the Mitsubishi will do the job if it's in good nick. The Chellengers did have an overheating issue and some engine issues but many have had a good run. With all that said, it's whatever gets us out there in the bush that counts. Safe travels. 👍

@@MGKAdventures Have fun hopefully you get good weather and not wet weather, Its why I never Turboed our 1HZ had trouble keeping it cool with the Three 3 core Cooper ,Brass radiators I had in it in a few years not being good enough, we fitted a all Alloy one been great ever since, So I did not Turbo it did not want that hassel again on my Solo fishing trips heading up north towing our 5m tinny, Cape , Gulf , Kimbeley,

Potentially it could yes. The Turbo spec 1HZ does tend to run a little warmer so shouldn't be a problem. If it does, the little spacer that I have made can easily be removed and the fan will drop back away from the radiator during the colder months. This install was done with the warmer months ahead in mind as we have some pretty intense trips lined up during the warmer months. 👍👍

The road is generally very good so you shouldn't have a problem. Having said that, we have just has a lot of rain in the area so depending on when you go there may be some potholes. If you take your time and drive accordingly, it should be no problem. 👍👍
