BOYS LIEK YOU ARE A DIME A DOZEN🗣️🔥🗣️🔥
Thank you
Thanks for simplicity it works perfectly 😊
Happy it helped.
Compare it to Pininfarina's attempt at the same project, the 2+2 Mondial. I would say the GT4 is far more attractive.
Thank you! Those tabs were absolutely missing in every other video, glad I ran into yours ✌️
Glad I could help!
Not ugly at all !
I need one of these..
Oh yes the haiundye

😂😂😂
80s were some of the worst automotive junk ever put out total trash
The early 80s was the end of the malaise era so there was definitely some awful cars. I am fond of the Japanese and German cars of that time in particular. Think E30 BMW, Mazda FC RX7, or Mk. 2 & 3 Toyota Supra for sports cars.
@@garagetrouble yeah they had it together for the most part my apologies American cars of that era were all over the place
I’d have to disagree with you, if US car manufacturers had a hard time to make nice looking cars in 80s and 90s, that doesn’t mean every other manufacturers did poorly too. In my opinion one of the best cars put on the roads of the world, are from the 80s…
@@The_Helmet that was the start of the disposable cars
@@JamesJones-gr2mm you may be right, but I have to say I love the aesthetic of the Japanese, German, British, and Italian cars of the time. As an example Ferrari 288gto design is simple, and yet I love it!
What a great trip! And amazing cars!
Thanks for the comment it was def worth it.
Yes, its ugly. But thats why we love Bertone
It is not ugly
Spray on a high build (AKA high solids) sandable primer, then sand it, before spraying on paint.
The Fiero wasn't even slow for the time period...the GT especially.
Congrats on almost finishing a race. Ever since I saw a video by Mark Rober I've wanted to enter 1 of these.
They should have an event once a year like the pinewood derby but add other style races. Like all kinds but same track. Marbles. Metal cars. Hotwheels. Anytype wood cars. Cement cars. Etc... Also have a guy walking around taking bets;] Id love to enter a marble or something. And to enter it costs like $50 bucks so the winners will get a nice purse. Im liking my event more n more as i think about it😊
I bet that screw was rubbing on the curved section. We always sanded the bottom of the car to get as much clearance as possible. You don't need much wood holding the axles if you glue then in. Best of luck next year.
The secret is in the wheels.... polish the axles with 800/1000 wet and dry, I put my pins in a Dremel tool and use strips to reduce thickness and get a nice slick shiny surface. Then it's on to the tires, remove as much of the outer "tread", mold marks and flashing from the outside and rims of the tires, make the hole for the axle pin a little larger. Before setting the axles, dry fit and find a nice flat surface and roll the car, tweak the axles until the car runs straight and level, when it's running straight and true, pick up your car gently, (try not to undo all that work you've just done), Set the axle pins, my preference is to use super glue gel. I've won a few derby's, and believe me, aerodynamics and how good your car looks takes second place to how the wheels perform, look at "Hot Wheels" cars and how zippy they are. Is what I did cheating? There was nothing in the rules that said I couldn't modify the items the pinewood kit came with, only that I couldn't add to or replace them .
Thanks! A lot of good info here. We are allowed to polish / sand the axels but under their rules we are not allowed to modify the wheels.
If you are serious about winning the single most important thing is the bearing surface. You have to get pipe cleaners and shine it, then pencil graphite works well as lubricant. Also, a high tail with a heavy weight helps the physics, but it is useless if it isn't stable.
Thanks for the info. Next year will be my redemption.
If you are serious about winning, study some of the many videos online. You want as much weight as possible as far back and high up as possible, since it will be affected by gravity bringing it down the hill a couple of inches longer.
Appreciated. I’ll be doing a ton of research for next year’s race.
That pic of me *must* be one of the worst I've ever had taken! It was super cool to meet you and we'll be back and faster than ever next year! I think I got screwed over by the bracket because I lost to the overall winner twice but never raced those who got P2 and P3!
Ha! Sorry about the pic. It was the only one I could find quickly. Nice meeting you as well. That sucks having to race P1 twice. Next year will be my redemption.
Adult pinewood derby? Interesting
I remember trying to do one of these for cub scouts as a kid and asked my dad to help and I just remember I felt totally let down
Yep get tired of the lame cat, dog, etc pet-based things that get more attention just because the industry and social media advisors pushed for more cute animal stuff
I never heard of a Adult pine wood derby. Very cool. I need to find one in my area as it sounds like so much fun. Loved it as a kid.
Dare me.
*tatra
It has been built in Czech Republic. Czechoslovakia split in 1994
It is not a Japanese built car. It is a Frankenstein.
Had an 85 Fiero. The v6 in the back felt like a big block.
Adult pinewood! That is so cool!
Sorry but… to me it’s beautiful.
❤❤❤❤
cats on couch!
They did a great job.
Great vid, subbed
Thank you so much!
Shoulda visited the Hadron Collider dressed as Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan
How do I have more subs than this guy he is a great TH-camr
Thanks!
I wish i had a local pinewood derby, my one good car that took 1st place was a blocky truck with lots of weight up front
Mark Rober did a great job breaking down what it takes to win: th-cam.com/video/-RjJtO51ykY/w-d-xo.html
In the cub scouts a guy told my father and I you make sure one wheel isn't touching the surface of the track. Bend it up slightly. It increases the speed. 🤣
I just remember that me and my dad went to a hobby store played with rc cars forgot why we were there and picked a wooden truck and painted it solid blue 😂I got second place
Have you tried going back to plastic?
PINEWOOD DERBY!
Point of view is something...totally disagree and don't think it's ugly at all! Whatever...
I love this yard! I used to be able to find SE-Rs to pull from. Those days are long gone now.
Yeah, it’s great. I have pulled some parts for my family but I have yet to find anything I could use myself.
Bump.
Wait, how does a coolant hose catch fire?
It doesn’t. It was poor phrasing on my part. Coolant hoses bursting can run the engine hot and cause a fire.
Why is the front of that one on fire ? The hot engine is in the back ??
Idk, I don’t recall an explanation where I grabbed that footage.
Pontiac On Fire-oh!
Ive always wanted one. Until now... lol
Get a later GT those had all of the bonus bits and none of the fires.
The bolt that hold the seat down can sheer off and catch fire
Don't forget the headlight limit switches, that is the only problem I have with mine.
