    Nice vid and content, as a mountain biker, I’m some what fit, and my garmin watch had me chasing steps and walking quite aggressively, I figure might as well start running too. The one price of advice I would add into your points would be the psychological scenario most people don’t talk about be it running, mountain or road biking whatever. Any one new to something like this needs to understand that at first they will be processing everything in the front of their mind, and after some time, it will fall into the back of your mind and just become second nature, be it breathing, cadence all the little things that will fall into place when you relax enough for them to. And the same goes with bikes when to brake, shift, coast or pedal, over that becomes second nature. There will be a huge improvement, it will all fall into place. I was hit with this when I started running, and it was mind boggling to me that I could ride and not get winded , but anything over 90 seconds of running and I’m gasping for air. But that is now fading away and the run times vs walk times have really changed.

      Glad to know you're considering running! This is incredibly useful information, and I will definitely create content around it because you raise a really good point It's like learning to drive or swim; you need to get the actual task out of the way before it becomes second nature, allowing you to reap the true benefits

    Really great video.❤ I started my weight loss journey two months ago. I am a 5'6 male. I was 77.65kgs and wanted to reach 64 kgs. My diet is pretty much the same as it was before but the drastic change i made was i cut down my carbs and made it 1/5th of what it used to be and replaced it with veggies and proteins. 2ndly i tried fasting for 24 hours once a week and for a daily basis pushed my breakfast behind to make my after dinner fast about 16 hours. I started having my dinner before 7.30 pm. That was a massive change for someone who used to eat dinner at 11 pm. I started walking 10k steps regularly. At first all 10k at once and then slowly incorporating walking in my daily life so that it is sustainable in the long term and I don't need to find time specially for walking. Last but not the least i stopped having junk and sugary food. Only sweet thing i eat is seasonal fruits right now. After two months i have lost 10 kgs.. i currently weigh about 67.40. I regularly train my big muscles at home to avoid muscle loss.(Push ups, squats etc) What i have learnt about my body is that a good metabolism is key to fat loss. If you don't have good metabolism it is very hard to sustain your body. You can't excercise out of a poor metabolism. So i will urge people to try to do a 24 hour fast once a week and build enough muscle to increase your lean mass which will then increase your metabolism. Eat satiating home cooked meals and don't snack in between. Having 2 or 3 solid meals with a good time gap in a day is way better than small frequent meals. It helps in reversing your insulin resistance which is also a huge reason for weight gain. Eat more during the day and keep the dinner light. All the best everyone ❤ I hope to lose my remaining 3kgs in the next month... Anyway it doesn't matter if it takes more time because i already feel healthier than before ❤

      @darrellkawooya 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Firstly, congratulations on your progress, losing 10kg in just two months is no small feat, it’s clear how dedicated and committed you’ve been to your journey Fasting has been a game-changer for me as well. I do a 16-hour fast daily Cutting out sweets and opting for fruits is another good choice-I’m currently obsessed with frozen grapes, especially on hot days You’re absolutely right about metabolism; it’s such a crucial but often overlooked aspect of fat loss Being aware of what’s in your food through home-cooked meals is a smart approach Keep up the incredible work and continue to inspire us all with your progress and insights Best of luck with the remaining 3kgs-you’ve got this!

    No mention of intermittent fasting, or insulin resistance?

    • @lunar1227

      I dont mess with fasting because of things like refeeding syndrome

    • @JB-ip7vr
      @JB-ip7vr 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@lunar1227 There is no chance of refeeding syndrome with intermittent fasting. You are only not eating for 16 hours a day. What you are talking about is fasting for above 72hours without medical supervision. If you do this then yes there is a chance of refeeding syndrome if you suddenly eat a ton of food too quickly it will imbalance electrolytes and could cause too much potassium etc which can be dangerous for your heart.

    • @darrellkawooya
      @darrellkawooya 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Intermittent fasting, like the 16-hour fast I follow, has definitely helped me maintain a caloric deficit, and it’s definitely an honorary mention. As for insulin resistance, the steps I outlined in the video are designed to support overall metabolic health, which can help prevent insulin resistance. I appreciate the feedback and will consider these points for future content!

    • @darrellkawooya
      @darrellkawooya 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@lunar1227 Thanks for your comment! As long as you follow a traditional intermittent fasting method like 16/8, you don’t need to worry about insulin resistance.

    Good job on the video, it is clear and well-presented. But, the workout plan might be a little too much for the average Joe trying to mix running and lifting. Especially that Thursday tempo run before leg day and then the long run on Sunday? Brutal on the recovery. Maybe spreading the workouts out over more days, like 9 to 12, would give you more time to rest. Or removing one running workout and replacing it with an easy run? Plus, even if specific muscles ain't sore, there's still this whole systemic fatigue. These are my thoughts. Keep up the good work!

Add some scenes between your talks. Add various clips that YOU took which is not a stock image. Talk a little slowly more meaningfully. You sound great anyways. Talking slower makes that much better.
