Hey thank you very much.
Hey man sounds good! You going to go through the first section a little?
I absolutely love your Guitar playing, none of that dreaded shredding, and fast talking, just good music, and you have an amazing style, I really enjoyed the video,
When I started listening to this video I thought, here we go "same old thing" then you started playing and I was pleasantly surprised, very musical and a great technique, I'm about to subscribe, keep up the good work.
Thank you so much!!
You're a hell of a picker.
Do a southern rock lesson or something on that white sg
I have a question about bad ass guitar school. If you pay monthly, can you cancel it anytime or do you have to pay the full year?
You can do monthly with no obligation. The yearly is just cheaper. You get one month free.
I'm always naked when I play bluegrass
I’ve been playing guitar for a very long time. I can barely play one song. Truth. Look at my videos. Playing like this guy is like magic to me. Something I will never achieve. It sucks!
Thank you for the kind words. Anything is possible! 10 min every single day will bring progress! We are all looking to get better and that’s the only way to do it. Put yer fingers on yer guitar every single day. I have some great beginner guitar instruction on badassguitarschool.com and I also do one on one lessons. Whatever I can do to help, I’d be happy to.
So cool, I'd really like to join Badass Guitar School online, but unfortunately I don't speak English. TH-cam has an instant translator, which allows me to study the first videos. Can the Badass Guitar School videos with the subscription be translated into French like on youtube? Thank you in advance for your reply.

If I may, what pick are you using? Thanks for sharing!
I use a blue chip on acoustic. I love them.
❤
Nice lesson, Bart!
Thanks! 😃
More bluegrass please… so I can be the loudest and the best 😂
Will do! Want more tunes or more technique?
@@BadassguitarschoolAs a beginner bluegrass player myself I would say finding tunes that are approachable as a beginner have been hard. You've done some great ones though. I have a bunch loaded up to watch when I get a few free hours.
🙂 Promo SM
Does that mean your pick is hitting flat on the strings?
Yessir!
How do you cancel membership on your website? There is very little to no content for $35 a month. Please send me the link, your website is impossible to navigate. You are badass at guitar, but whoever developed your site needs to be replaced.
I’m so sorry you’ve not had a good experience. It is a new site with new content being recorded and uploaded regularly. There is a “cancel membership” button but I’m happy to do it directly with/for you if you’d like to email me at bart@reply.badassguitarschool.com
I just emailed you. I cancelled my membership last month and was just charged again@@Badassguitarschool
Like you, I had heard about CAGED for years but never understood what it was for or how it worked but after hearing you explain it, it suddenly clicked and I started using it - thanks!
I love any theory tricks that make it easier to noodle. I think it all makes better sense to me too, to think shapes. I also like Victor Wooten's trick too with the chromatic scale. There are 7 out of 12 notes that are 'good', or a 60% percent chance that you'll hit a good note, even if you don't play guitar. On top of that, if you hit an 'out' note, there is a good note on both sides of it, guaranteed everytime. If you hit an 'out' note, stay relaxed, stay on it, play with it, and fix it. This and how you describe the 'shapes' of the same chord up the neck are liberating to a player like me. I too stumbled onto the six shapes up the neck, root to octave kinda thing. You have liberated my thinking of how to use the scale patterns for noodling in country or jazz. THANKS
Great video.
Horrible
Great teaching style! Would you happen to have any videos or pointers to learning how to do those type country licks like you did from 1:40-1:48?
I think I had that hat in the 70s. BTW, I met Anthony who built your guitar. What a nice guy, and great player. First time I've seen a Lucky Dog in a video. Love it.
I think one of the best guitarist to use the caged system is David Gilmour. Don't you agree?
You could say F is a root shape and E is just an F with an added low 5th.
Love it!
First time watching, what is bad ass is that guitar.
Haha! Thanks! Maybe I should change the punctuation to “Bart’s Badass Guitar, School!”
I don’t wish to alarm you but there seems to be a flat rattler on your hat.
❤
An intermediate learner who loves learning bluegrass licks. I'd love some of this, with tabs. Thanks.
I will get some more up for you. Lots of bluegrass and all written in tab over on badassguitarschool.com There’s a TH-cam discount link in the descriptions of most all of the videos
A very helpful lesson. Thank you!
Great lesson. Thank you!
Great one
Wow brother, just the name alone is enough to sub. Looking forward to seeing more from you man. I was a big old band nerd, play piano since I was seven. So I know how to read music, I'm a beginner on guitar for sure. Not quite an immediate, so how and what to practice is right up my alley.
Thanks
Absolutely!! Let me know what else you are interested in! Or questions you have
WOW!!! AWESOME!!! 🥰❤
Really beautiful sound. I’m trying to figure out if this school is a good fit for me. I’m a complete beginner and only have a PRS custom electric guitar. What do you think?
I have a complete beginner course available on the site! It truly doesn’t matter your experience level I have things for day one all the way to professionals! Come on over!
Nice work Bart!!
Thank you! Cheers!
wow super talented nice job I enjoyed it. thanks.
Thank you very much
Truly amazing!
Thank you sir!!!
Really good vid!
Thanks so much!!
Thanks for the video. Can you show us some ways for beginners to practice?
Absolutely!! Do you mean specifically for this technique or in general?

Outstanding
Thank you so much!!
Great explanation! I always wondered how that was done. Definitely will try it!
Awesome! Hope it helps!
I'm filipino from the philippines, one of your subscribers, you inspired me to play a guitar..that is why i always watched your videos...and i always borrowed the guitar of my neighbor just to learn your technique because i don't have my own guitar, cant afford to buy one...hopefully if one of your old guitar will break, please send it to me...please...thanks in advance...
Wow!! That’s really awesome! I’m so happy to have inspired you!! I hope you can find a guitar of your own soon!
What watch is that? 😮
It an Invicta. It’s a copy of my dream watch, the Submariner!
Molly anchors to the bridge. She showed it in her lesson, and specifically mentions this. Great practice.
Good to know!! Seems to make the most sense to my hands as well!
The opening lines of this video was, Everybody wants to play Faster and cleaner, right? no wrong, and nobody's wants to put in the time to do it, right? wrong again, I don't want to play faster and cleaner, and I've got plenty of time, right? and I'm happy playing as I do, right?
Awesome!! Congratulation on your contentment in your playing abilities! I’m so happy for you!!
Good stuff man
Thanks so much!
Great stuff man. This is what I need. Sincere thank you!!
Awesome!! Glad I could help!! Let me know anything yet wanting and I’ll try to get a video up of it!
