can you recommend a portable stereo speaker with separate channel inputs that will give me more volume than the built-in speakers and support the great stereo separation? thx in advance for any advice
Where can I listen to this song??

@@sealife7475THANKS!! ⭐ I really love the vibe, I'm also have made some originals but I'd love to try to record my own songs fully analog. This could be an interesting experiment
Why not the Grand Piano voice?
@@argi0774 its there right at the end!
Did you mix the recorded materials in the box?
@@استوديوالحاني yes, exactly
A damn fine feeling when you played the twin peaks theme
It's a damn fine tune!
This keyboard truly has magic in it. I love mine so much and will never get rid of it. Despite the velocity limitations, the mini keys, the constraints... it inspires me endlessly and is played constantly. The sounds are fantastic!
It's such an underrated piano. You can always play a full scale via midi. The sounds are really where it's at.
can,t get along with mine, the velocity is not for me and good speakers are needed imo .
LOVE this
this looks like a bot comment oops but yeah this is so great
hey man! i stumbled across your fostex 4 track video just now doing research for my own cassette multitracks, and your music has aged very beautifully after 3 years!! youre an incredible artist and id love to see more of you, keep being awesome! its great to see you’re back!!
Thanks so much, friend! Sealife has new music coming soon! Thanks for your support!
awesome demo!
Thank you!
<3
you use 5 tracks on a 4-track machine .... that´s really outstanding! it´s magic!
@@hansirainer7213 studio magic!
Really beautiful playing. Twin Peaks theme gave me goosebumps!
@@davidkaplan5450 hey thanks David, grab yourself one if you can! They’re so much fun
If rewind don't work flip it over use fast forward lol😂
❤
why only use one track?
Dig this sound! Do you add stuff like reverb to the vocals after bouncing to pro tools? And do you bounce each instrument individually then mix each track separately?
@@samw7287 most definitely, I bounced them all into Pro Tools individually and mixed them, added effects, etc.
Can't believe i ran into the homie during a search!! Hell yeah!
@@thahyst MY MAN
I want one.
Next try ADA. After you mix in the DAW master back to tape!
@@sundaybrunch7097 that’s a great idea!
@@sealife7475 I'd love to see that!
Nice content!
Does anybody know where i can get a 4-track in germany?
This is a what happen to 80s underground band made ..
Here is your 1000th sub🎉
LFG!!! Thanks friend! New video dropping soon!
nice dude
Thank you!
Sounds great
Hey! Loved the video, super helpful! Quick question about your recording setup: You said you’re only using one track on the Fostex four-track. Did you record each instrument separately in mono and then transfer them one by one into your DAW for mixing? Or did you overdub everything onto that single track before bringing it into Pro Tools? Just a bit confused on that part. Thanks!
I did each track separately in mono, and then brought them into Pro Tools. To streamline/get better timing sometimes I'll bounce each track right after recording straight to Protools, so I'm recording to the tape machine, but monitoring/listening to the session from Protools.
@@manymystics Got it, thanks! Just curious-did you record any other songs on your album "Jazz" with the Fostex X-12? I just got myself a Fostex X-18 and was a bit worried about the results I’d get since it only records at 3.75 IPS, but your video totally inspired me
@@dosvecinosI recorded a lot of baselines with the Fostex. I did the song Queen of Hearts exclusively on a Tascam 34, which I detail in another video on my channel! I’d recommend getting something that records faster than 3.75 ips, especially a reel to reel like the Tascam.
Fast and Effective !! ~ 🏁
I appreciate it!
Man, if broken hearts were Peaches... that'd be so cool! Like, instead of a broken heart, you get a delicious, slightly fuzzy nectar fruit? I'm with it. Love the track. high in both quality and vibe.
Hey man, would someone be able to use any tape recorder? As long as it has the mic in and ear phone out?
Yeah definitely. Sometimes tapes aren't always writeable but as long as the tape recorder records.
The pencil, or in your case drumstick method, is great for tapes, but I found an electric screwdriver helps really good 🎉🎉
I used to demo songs on one of these back in the day.
That's awesome!
❤
How is this act not HUGE? 100% legit.
This slaps. I like. Subscribidibidyoed.
Preesh!!
jo man definetely keep at it, your stuff is good
Wow I love your music
Yo! Thank you!
This is so fucking cool, beautiful work. 🧙♂️💫
How do you bounce your recordings into protools?
this is the best tutorial ever, legit you inspired me to make tutorials/my process, I've been overthinking making them so much because it takes me so long to create and i don't like to film while I'm working
Dude I'm the same way, it's another extra process that takes time, but it's fun to look back on.
Cool style. Your vocals are great
Hey I appreciate that!
Duuuude such a vibe 🤌
This is awesome. You are a great artist.
This is now one of my favorite music videos.
Very curious about this type of workflow with the 34. Basically you can record up to 4 tracks simultaneously to tape, but since you're going to protocols, are you recording to tape first and then bouncing to PT? Or is there a way to go through the 34 and get the tape flavour without having to actually record to tape first? Maybe repro or sync function? Cheers great tune and I want to find one of those old EV mics too
Yes! There’s a way to run your tracks through the tape machine, one way would essentially only using the preamps in the machine (which doesn’t have gain knobs so you’re kinda just soaking up some of the mechanical sound, not sure how else to describe it), and the second way would be to record on repro going through the tape machine to your computer. There would be a noticeable delay (see tape delay effect) and would make it hard to play in time, unless maybe you were recording a band who had a different way of hearing their playback.
Drums, rhythm, lead , bass =4 + vocal is 5? I get it ,you recorde vocal on your computer
Close - I recorded all 4 instruments and then bounced them onto my computer. Then I recorded over the drums with vocals. Then I bounced vocals to the computer.
That sounded so great!
Thanks so much!
