I ride 2 different Harley’s and they don’t run hot to the point they blow up. In the dead of summer I place a fan in front of the bike after shutting down. Why? Because that’s when they get hotter because the oil isn’t circulating anymore to cool it
I ride a 2005, 88ci that's got 82,000mi it's been Cam'd, chip'd and piped. I've never had that issue

I have an 88" with 60k miles of desert riding I've never shut it off at a red light. Now I live on the east Coast and ride in 0 degree weather in the winter. Still runs like a dream in either extreme. They were designed to do what they do
