😢❤ my little old man passed a few weeks ago & this makes me miss him so incredibly much. He was my fiancés cat- 17 years old. I became his momma (and favorite person) 3 years ago. I would have to race to bed to get to my spot before him!! He would always take it. I would wake up to him sleeping above my pillow.. and I would come home to him sleeping ON my pillow 😑🥲. It’s reassuring to know that I comforted him as much as he did for me. 😢❤

They assume you won't be back for a while, and your seat is nice and warm. That's the only reason. Yes they do have a strong nose, but they can smell us from ACROSS THE ROOM they don't need to nuzzle into our favorite chair for that. Trust me, it's for the warm spot we leave behind.

They jump in your chair because it's warm.

It's easy between me and my cat. He owns everything and I'm a barely tolerated servant.

My cat watches me poop. She's a bum looker. When I flush the toilet she runs up to see. Sometimes she gets all the way on the seat and does a sort of military pushup, lowering herself toward the poop. I grab her by that point, no sense in risking her falling in. But she's a weirdo.

I believe my cat does it to protect me, his attitude is that of fatherly because he rubs his chin on the top of my head. I had forgotten that my human dad did that when I was a toddler until my cat dad did it.

My cat is so dependent on me for everything. He follows me everywhere and crys if I leave the room without him seeing me leave. He even depends on me to play with him. He won't play without me being involved.

When I return and my kitty has taken my seat I just pick him up, sit down, and put him on my lap.

He likes sharing the chair with me, even if it IS cramped and almost always purrs when I come and sit down. Oh, and it is pretty much the highest safe place to lie and still be near the cat pack.

My 6’2” father (with low powerful voice) was the only one who could command the cat out of his chair just with his voice 😂 that cat ignored the rest of us.

Found a tiny kitten just over a year ago and now he sleeps with me every night, sleeping on my lap right now. He follows me around the house and greets me at the door when I walk in the house. Plays fetch with his favorite toy, I’ve had cats before but never one like this. ❤

My daughters cat does this , lol it can be annoying because sit back down not realising their there , my dog also used to do this .
