@ Well they should be I would assume! This along with the Moon were the tracks in which John Miller requested.

@@ashemiles5715 I would be surprised because it is not their style to renovate anything if they can get the old control system fired up and working even in the manner it is now. Once it dies for good would be when they would consider that. Perhaps John wants to have it for when that happens. The Moon however I expect next year.

@@BenneLuke Yep! John Miller said he was going to use it for an upcoming project. Now with the machine working though, it’s unknown when it will be used, but he plans on using it!

Nice! Maybe you can use that for sampling for something in the future. Apparently the creator of House on the Rock did this with antique instruments and a Mellotron for some of the earlier audio arrangements.

@ I’d love to! It definitely needs some work first though. One of the pedals doesn’t work, and the reeds are heavily out of tune. From what I know, it’s been sitting as a decoration in an old bar for most of its life.

@@ashemiles5715 I have a few reed organs myself including one that I repaired as a project during the pandemic lockdown in 2020. There is also one I have that needs a complete restoration but this is very far down on my repair list.

Both the Mills Violano and Nickelodeon Piano Company player piano orchestrion with Aeolian roll system and Mills Violano are both in House on the Rock storage today. The Nickelodeon used to be in the pizza restaurant but was moved the Mill House in 2007 when the Seeburg KT was out for restoration then. The KT returned in 2010 and that is when the Nickelodeon left display for storage. You could see these both in American Pickers. You are lucky you got to even see these when on display! As far as the Double Mills Violano goes, that was left display in 2010 and the Encore Automatic Banjo was moved there (the banjo was taken off display in late 2021). All of these instruments need restoration and it could happen someday!

@@sammorex2543 your totally right, these things need lots of care. The Nickelodeon is definitely one of my favorites, and I actually haven’t even ever been to the HOTR, but I think I’m going this summer for the first time 🤞🏻and they also need to find a better storage facility, by what it looks like in American pickers, the place is rotten and might be in danger of collapse lol but I hope they get on it.

@@sammorex2543 I don’t know how long they’ve been this way, but they had a weird overlap on one side of their face and it scared two kids who were there at the same time as me.

It was certainly a waste of "5 CENTS" but it was only 5 cents lost which is hardly anything these days. Still it was quite a con. Not worth fighting for a refund of 5 cents.

This whole museum is a scam. One instrument works in "acceptable" condition and only because AMICA footed the bill to restore it. It needs to be shut down and the instruments sold to people who can actually take care of them rather than let them rot away. The state of Montana has no business owning these unless it can actually take care of them.

House on the Rock Attraction in Spring Green, Wisconsin. It is quite an incredible place!

@sammorex2543 It looks like it, yes. I might be going to Illinois, how ever the heck you spell it. To see my hero Ronald McDonald. America seems like mostly a cool place to go, I also want to go to Vegas. Not to gamble, but the sight seeing, food, amusements and attractions. I hear the food in Vagas is pretty neat. And there is so much up for offer.

I have seen pictures of King Triton's Carousel Band Organ and that is not even a real band organ. It is a fiberglass facade that looks like a band organ but that fake facade is actually just a hidden speaker piping in band organ music. That is generally how Disney parks do it these days even though they have a few real but dysfunctional band organs like the one behind the Dumbo ride in Disneyland, CA.

Yeah Disney doesn't take care of most of the antique mechanical instruments at all. I am kind of angry with modern Disney because of this. They also have a Gavioli that is rotting in Disneyland CA and they ruined the Big Nelly Artizan C-2 from Paul Eakins upon entering Disneyland Paris. The original facade is now a speaker grille in the middle of Le Carousell De Lancelott with a new tacky paint job and the original organ itself is separated and with a new 153 facade in a collection in France. At least modern House on the Rock does want to get their stuff working including the KT.

You mean on the audio track on the right channel? Unfortunately we likely will never know all the secrets to why things were done a certain way on these early audio arrangements and exactly what instruments they sampled from. To me it sounds like the sampled certain ranks of a pipe organ for this one as welI as other instruments including possibly pipes of the Lincoln Welte for the instrument like at 0:44. would love to see you recreate all these alternative tracks sometime!

@@ashemiles5715 Also the piccolos and the flutes in this exhibit appear to have been sampled from those respective pipes of the Gebruder Bruder organ. Those exact pipes they sampled for this creation seemingly were then rigged up behind the modified Gebruder Bruder organ's facade to play at the Carousel in the early 1990s. th-cam.com/video/0Lkj71-RGLE/w-d-xo.html

I don't think the Attraction even has gotten that far yet. It depends on what happens in the next couple years and what breaks. The Moon will be before the Franz now! I am guessing it could be the Mikado or the Hupfeld but not sure.

The Franz is a very complex one perhaps far more complex than the Moon. There are a lot of aspects to the Franz and there are some decisions management has to think through to make on how to move forward with it and what direction to go on it. I think the Franz itself could take a few complete seasons to rebuild once work begins depending on how they want it done.

@lukesvintagetrains5495 They don't seem to realize how bad of shape it's in. They just want it working and are limping it along. It being entirely out of order is by far worse than it in the current condition.
