just saw this comment from another reaction vid. to clarify some confusions: Yeongsoo, the counterpart in episodes 3 and 4, is a denial gay. He’s someone who cannot accept that he’s gay and is overly conscious of how others perceive him-in other words, a closeted person. However, both the writer and the actor confirmed one thing: when asked, “Did he truly love Goyoung?” they both firmly answered that he loved him deeply. He just didn’t have the courage. That’s why he looks so sorrowful when he gets hit by Young. Even at the end, when he says he’s moving to the U.S., it turns out to be a lie. If you look at the letter he sends to Young at the end, the postmark clearly shows it was sent from Korea. In the original work, Goyoung hasn't overcome this and is shown crying in the bathroom, tearing the letter to shreds and flushing it down the toilet. However, in the drama, Goyoung shows some progress by throwing the letter into a regular trash can instead of recycling. It’s an interesting touch-it shows that, to Goyoung, Yeongsoo has become a worthless person, not even worth recycling. Still, it was a painful love, which is why, in the scene where he’s sitting peacefully with his mother, you see him shedding tears. The artwork is beautiful, and it’s an episode I truly love.

LITBC is segmented into two episode parts. Each parts are directed by different directors. So each two episodes can stand on its own. The team even said that if you start watching at episode 5 and end it at episode 6, you can do so. It’s like watching 4 movies in a series. Anyway, I think Go Young is an imperfect character. He did a lot of stupid things in the series and one of those is his fight with Miae. He did say he could not blame Miae for outing him because he did admit he was kissing Namgyu in public that night. I guess the point is that, just be careful of who you’re saying these things to because it can endanger someone’s life.

They were delicious but this Episode was so Heartbreaking and hard for Each characters in this episoded in there own povs.

I kinda agree with you.. this isn’t really one of my favorite episodes. No spoilers but can’t wait for you to get to ep 5 and 6. It’s my favorite one out of all. This show is really deep. As you progress through this series, you will experience different emotions. hehe Hope you enjoy the ride.. hehe

I think there are some things that need to be clarified here so that you have a bit of understanding about some things going on in the series. I am not a Korean myself, but I kind of get the gist of how it is there from my exposure to the media and such. So please feel free to correct my minimal knowledge if I’m wrong. First things first, the timeline isn’t that crazy. As far as I know, young adults in KR try to continue to attend university until they get a job. I have seen this situations in BLs like Semantic Error and The 8th Sense (the female senior in the surf club). I’m not entirely sure what they continue to pursue if they finished their majors so I’d be glad if someone in the comments could provide further enlightenment here. Secondly, I believe Itaewon is a popular place for the LGBTQ+ community. It’s been known to have establishments that accommodate the target populace for a long time. And just letting you know, people can go to gay bars even if they’re not out. They can sneak in or wear some cover. So you can’t just assume he’s out cause he’s in there (Sorry, I was a bit overstimulated with the comment 😑) And lastly, I think there is still quite a flawed, non-progressive mindset in the PH about being gay. I have known people/men who act “feminine” and still live and have a regular straight family. Even if Go Young has been acting “flambuoyantly” or have gay friends, that does not give Miae any right to tell people that he’s gay. He could be out to a certain number of people and still be “in the closet” to most. Plus, it’s a different country, who knows what danger would befall someone if you broadcast their sexuality in public, i.e. he could lose his job to a homophobic boss, get thrown out/disowned by their family, or get assaulted in the streets due to hate crime. So let this be a lesson to people to keep their mouth shut about other people’s sexuality because it’s a private matter. I apologize if I sound a bit too forward, but it sometimes bothers me a lot when I hear this kind of comments especially when I come home to PH. I hope you take this as a constructive criticism and not be offended by my frank outburst. ✌🏼

Actually his friends weren't done in the military pa, may mga sort of "days off" din sa military when they can go out of the base and be with their friends and family kaya di din niya matawagan ung friends niya nung naglayas siya kay MiAe kasi nasa military pa. Also youre right, hindi pa out si Young, he is only out sa mga tao na close sa kaniya like his gay friends and kay Mi Ae plus the bars they go to are exclusive for gays kumbaga safe space ng mga beki so walang mag dare na i-out whoever they see there.
