That was an elite fight between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol. They could have defeated anyone else in their division on Saturday, especially Bivol--an exceptional performance. Upon rewatching the fight, I agree with the judges that Artur won the Undisputed Light Heavyweight Championship. I initially thought Bivol had won, and I was heartbroken for him that he didn't get the decision, but in the end, the rightful man won. It was 3-3 after the 6th round, with Bivol winning his share of the rounds--the first three rounds clearly. Beterbiev won the 7th, which Bivol initially dominated, by landing a string of heavy, unanswered shots. Artur also closed off strong, winning the 10th, 11th, and 12th rounds. I'll admit Artur wasn't quite himself in the fight--he may have gotten old overnight and underperformed--slow and noticeably exhausted by the 4th or 5th round. His sheer will is what won him the fight. Yes, Bivol was ahead after the 9th--his performance was more eye-catching and precise, he is what you call a Master Boxer. Technically, the bout was a Bivol special, a beautiful display of the art of boxing against the pressure, will and consistency of Beterbiev.

I disagree with you. The fight could be the fight of the year. It was entertaining. Bivol landed combinations and Artur landed single shots consistently, so visually combinations are eye-catching.

My scorecard: *1B, 2B* *3A* (Bivol land sporadic combination, Artur more consistent body and head shots though they were single shots) *4B* (Very close round, Bivol landed combinations Artur pressed the action, and finished the round strong) *5A* (Another very close round, a lot of shots were blocked by both fighters. Artur slightly landed more towards the end) *6A* (Walking him down, consistent, landing heavy leather esp to the body, blocking most of Bivol's attacks, Bivol not active) *7A* (Could have been a Bivol round but Artur landed heavy shots in succession, he hurt Bivol who shelled up the whole time) *8B* (Extremely close round, could have gone either way; the flurry at the end, though blocked, edges it to Bivol? It could have easily been an Artur round, landing the heavier shots, but Bivol was active in this round, too and stood his ground. Close round.) *9B* (As beautiful of a round for Bivol as he was in the 1st and 2nd-ACTIVE, stood his ground, picked his shots, defended well.) *10A* (Strong round by Artur, pressed the actions, Bivol landed about 2 shots, extremely inactive. Maybe recuperating from the 9th round?) *11A* (Artur is a Machine, strong round.) -This is the only time they are showing highlights from Artur Beterbiev. When you know you know 😉. Matchroom and the DAZN doing some visual manipulation. *12A* (Artur is a machine, strong round again. Bivol was melting there. He never experienced anything like that in his life.) -I think that's why he accepted the loss with ease, respect and honour.

I believe the best man won... artur beterbiev deserves the win. Bivol did all he could, much respect to him
