A couple of things I don`t agree with on the video. You forgot to point out that you can revive your slain fighter with Killcoins (the game`s standard currency) the price increases per floor but it skips having to fight an overgeared, overleveled fighter and risk losing your items. As far as P2W goes its only as P2W as you want to make it. There`s plenty of gear options that are free and can be upgraded with materials found around the Tower the only gear you can get with DM is gear from past seasons that is not in rotation but a lot of it is unecessary, Death metals can be earned by completing quests and taking part in TDM (the game`s PVP base invasion mode) they are also very frequently given out as rewards for daily log in or events. There is some agressive monetization in the game there is no doubt about it, but there are also ways to play around it its a game that rewards knowledge and proper planning as opposed to dodge roll and R1 or agressive spending. I personally think the Let it die title doesn`t mean to not play the game and let the service end as soon as possible, I think it means to let your deaths(failures) serve as a learning experience and to use the knowledge you acquire to help you climb higher and higher until you hit that sweet 40th floor (On a personal note I will admit the difficulty jump from floor 21-30 is kind of bullshit, but it can be overcome. Still a bit too much of a difficulty spike in my opinion).

I feel like if youve never played it, give it a shot. Its free to try it. Also, no amount of real money spent can guarantee you will "beat" this game, but it can speed up your progress.

Its really just the ultimate expression of a game. Nothing you do in the game matters in the slightest to anyone but you. You play until it no longer matters and then you 'Let it Die'.

Man, they need to release an official copy of the OST. Soundtrack was absolutely incredible.

The game feels so meta in a sense, like they grabbed Sony by the balls and made them a game all about getting the players fucked over in ways people often don't like, specially so with the microtransactions.

I climbed all the way to the top many years ago, with the help of the no more heros laser sword. Good times. Love smashing through peoples bases on the multiplayer, and I still have the ultimate fighter and ultimate fighter returns stickers on my car lol

deathverse was a fun battle royal. it was focused on melee combat

I didn't even spend a single dollar until I reached floor 100 just to prove a point I still couldn't recommend this for most people lol its a really acquired taste of a game

I remember looking through the PS Store with a friend years ago and we both downloaded it together. We thought the rouge souls-like was fun but it was sooo damn weird and the PvP felt like an odd element

for as fucked up it is, i really love this game, the fact it's so violently pay 2 win is almost part of the vibe lol

i played one run a day for months. thanks for reminding me of that time.

This reminds me of the movie Gamer.

It feels like a weird love letter to arcade games where paying money to continue was part of the experience. The game is designed to kill you cause that's what arcades did. And we did let the arcades die with better games on console/PC. They still exist but not like it was in the 90s

Dumb question, but how exactly does this thing with making multiple screenshots pop up on screen work? I tried to do something like that at the start of my video, and Vegas just wouldn't let me do it, so I had to find some disgusting workaround by manually creating a transparent gif of like 60 different individual images

Hm. Saw a shoutout to you in a video by sarcasmspasm which reminded me that you got like a couple videos I meant to check out sometime ago, but never got around to it. Hope I remember to watch these this time, seems like it should be interesting

As someone who had played way too many hours of this game, I can definitively say: It is a game. Its not a terrible game, but it has way too many friction points to enjoy on a more casual or main stream level. Solid 2/10, best game I hated to play

I want to see this game grow. I do feel propper cpntroller support with a matching UI really shoild be priority.

The Imps are actually supposed to be the aquatic race, and apparently the dev said they won't make new races, but who knows.

The clashing colors personally turn me off from the game. Some people like the aesthetic, but its just a little too jarring and garrish for me to enjoy the game

If or not the game ever becomes anything more than it already is, it will invigorate the market with other developers who want to capitalize on the relatively under exploited furry gamer market.

I'd just hope the dev does what they'd like

Hey man great vid, I love the update Tysm!! <3 kinda got hooked on the game cuz I’ve been craving rpg mechanics like this where I can fall in love with the character creation diversity and then just turn my mind off and grind to either level up or make my character look better.

I've checked on the same things that were brought up in the video, and the developer did say there won't be multi-classes, and there won't be any new races or classes - what we have is what we get apparently. As for the aquatic race, those would be the imps, it's even brought up in their race description

If you've already cleared the Crescent Grove dungeon, you can go to the first teleport of the Crescent area, and instead of climbing the rope to go to the Temple, you take the other path and now the teleporter to the Well of Stars is active. You can already find empty areas where all of these areas are going to attach to, + 1 Good shop and a teleporter.

Honestly - even if Kis solo developing is going to be slow - he made a great game and I want him to be able to follow his vision unimpeeded. Bringing in other devs might change things.

If I’m not mistaken, the next skill page is for prestige classes - which will probably be implemented much later.

I would think the third option around 6:09 could be a specialty class, one that specializes in the weapons your current class can use better, like warrior could have a Lancer specialty and throw spears at folks or Bandit could have a dead-eye specialty and uses their bow to inflict heavy damage from afar, that's what I'm thinking.
