Nice to see you both have microphones. I can hear both of you!
Haha! Yes it’s been a struggle but we’re figuring it out. Thank you for watching!
Funny how the "if you don't like the country, move out" argument dies as soon as you think you could just take it with you! I guess Eugene should just take some of springfield because the river separating them is in the wrong spot. Hell, Newport might as well just take Waldport because some people would prefer that, and that's all that matters . Maybe we can trade puerto rico for greenland! Or just declare the panama canal sucks and needs to be ours. If we talk loud enough, we'll just get whatever we want! Y'all ain't goin' anywhere until you pack up and leave. Not saying I want you gone at all.
I don’t the this movement occurs. Seems far fetched. Thank you for commenting
Zero chance. Not even worth talking about. Trump makes it no more likely -- he has no power over this. There's already an Idaho. Feckin' move there. Nothing stopping you. I find that boundary proposal that puts Ashland in Idaho especially amusing. If any state lines are going to be moved, combine the Dakotas. Definitely don't need 2 of them.
Yeah…Ashland Greater Idaho?! 🤣

The rest of Oregon would have to agree also. Imagine the reasons they might not want to do that, not the least of which would include the largest prison in the state, and a grundle of state owned land. Don't think it'd be wise to bet the farm on it just yet. And do these folks have no imagination?.... 'Greater Idaho' is the best they can do???
Haha guess so
They better keep Bend out of it. All the Cali fruitcakes that have invaded in the last couple decades would completely negate the political reasons for making this change. It won't happen anyway
It would cost Idaho billions of dollars to take on the sale and/or transfer of all the assets (land and buildings) and take on debt related to eastern Oregon. Everyone’s for it until it costs them money.
@@ryanscott2626 true!
What industries does eastern Oregon have that would be of benefit to Idaho? Increasing the size of Idaho will only increase the cost of living for these Oregon pastorals joining Idaho and Idahoans and nothing guarantees anyone moving to Idaho that the legislators of Idaho will do good by their electorate rather, will do good for the powers that be and their own pockets. The highlight here is the poor or lack of critical thinking by those in favor of establishing boundaries wherever they choose without considering the repercussions of implementing simple solutions to complex problems.
Good points

Good opinion piece but very very little research went into this video. Typical puff piece with a strong liberal bias hence why Bend is left behind
Haha. Interesting takeaway 😆
@movingtobendoregon I'm greatly involved with the GIM since the beginning. ALOT of the information presented in the video had a ton left out or was skewed. If the research was done, then the information should be properly conveyed
@@fiatracer0141 appreciate your involvement. I feel like this video is being pushed beyond my target market - which is selling homes in Deschutes County. I’m simply conveying to Central Oregonians that “The Greater Idaho Movement” is something that’s on the radar. Something they need to be aware of regarding Deschutes County and a potential realignment in the unlikely event the movement were to come to fruition. I appreciate your thoughts.
@@movingtobendoregon I completely agree that it's not a tomorrow type event. But they way it was portrayed in the video isn't accurate which was my point. There's a lot more traction than you think. Especially in Idaho and the Oregon legislature
@fiatracer0141 I’m curious to see what happens. I will have no problems admitting I’m wrong in a future video if the traction becomes more public and it seems like the movement is set to occur. I know the next four years will be interesting.
I wish it would happen. They are a drain on the liberal part of the state. All they do is complain, while taking our money. Get out of Oregon, if the movement fails (which it will). Don't let the door hit you in the a$$. They are ingrates and MAGA. Disgusting.

Folks from Oregon and Washington need to understand, this guy is wrong. The vast majority of Idahoans do not support greater Idaho .
Hahaha hey don’t shoot the messenger pal 😆
@movingtobendoregon : Just telling the truth freind . Nobody in idaho is interested in changing our state . An Oregon conservative and, an Idaho conservative are not the same thing .
You have a large volume of people interested. Otherwise, the story wouldn’t keep popping up in the headlines. “Rep. Barbara Ehardt, R-Idaho Falls, said there is no reason not to consider adding such a giant expansion of land to Idaho. Ehardt said she and Rep. Judy Boyle, R-Midvale, have been working on the issue actively for two years.”
Oregon would lose the Snake River and half of their Columbia River frontage and bargaining power, they'd be pretty dumb to agree to that willingly.
Never thought of that
I'd love to get a legal government in Oregon. As long as there is a corrupt as death government in every respect stealing money from Oregonians and using it against the people of the real state of Oregon, ther is no way the people of Eastern Oregon are going to get equal representation in the communist government of The communist blue slumholes along the coast.
🤔 Thank you for commenting

@movingtobendoregon Thanks for the video. Has anyone run thru how many listings have expired or listings that are pulled off the market? We were following 3 properties listed for months that expired and were overpriced in our analysis.
What area are you looking?
Ran a quick search. 270 single family home listings have either expired or were withdrawn in the last 90 days in the Bend area. Let me know if you have further questions about this. @coachgeflores
@@movingtobendoregon thank you. Looking at NW Crossing.
@@movingtobendoregonactually if take those 270 home out of the market and divide that number by 119 (number sold in November) you get 2.27 months of inventory removed from the market. Is that 270 seem like a high historical amount for a recent 3 month period?
@coachgeflores I narrowed it down to Northwest Crossing and there is only 5 expired listings/withdrawns in the last 90 days. You probably know those five 😄

@@txduck haha. How about that thought 💪💁♂️
moving over state line (former Oregon to Idaho) 1: car licensing, tabs, drivers license and 4% tax on the value of your car will have to be paid, insurance adjustments need to be made.. 2: Property tax, Insurance etc need to be adjusted. Some insurance is only for oregon so you will need to find new insurance. 3: anyone with a business will have to have property value appraised for Idaho Tax. and any Licenses will need to be changed (involves passing test ..again). Teachers need to get an Idaho license.. Real estate, hair cutting, restaurants have different licensing requirements. This is going to be very expensive for all involved. There will need to be programs to defer or eliminate some of this expense of many will go out of business in this bad economy.. maybe tax credits for everyone transitioning.
Great points. It doesn’t just magically happen.
Still worth every penny to be out of Oregon. I know it won't ever happen but I hope it does
@@dansmith3507totally agree. I lived in seattle years ago, now in portland.. both are corrupt today.. I jokingly call them "sister cities: Sodom and Gomorrah". once your out of Oregon, don't look back.. LOL
I would say you need to do your homework. 1st, there is no sales tax on a vehicle you own. 2nd title and registration are $14.00 for title, and for my truck, which has the equivalent of a T plate (over 10k gvw), is 80 bucks a year, including Idaho parks pass. If you are unfamiliar with that no day use fees at state parks. Licensing is take a written test and you are squared away. I lived in Oregon for most of my 53 years and the best ting I ever did was leave Oregon. I was able to expand my business and live in a place where common sense rules are how things are done. I pay less in tax even with a sales tax than I did in taxes in Oregon.
@@raycharters6723 no sales tax in Oregon.. I moved from Idaho in the 1980s to washington with a 1 year old car, Washington required me to pay the appraised value of my car.. i had to pay washington's 10% tax to license my car in Washington, even though i had already paid the Idaho sales tax of 4%.. it has to do with the value of the car when you change states..
will greater idaho also have the 4% sales tax..? This will also give idaho more delegates, and oregon less delegates..
@@rdkuless doubt that they get that far to even consider it

Don’t forget Washington
Noted
The lefty liberal rot seeped north from California over the years until it infected the entire West coast. Once the generation of Old Hippies and Marksist useful idiots has faded away, perhaps a return to Common sense and conservative values will resolve the issue. The tyranny of the leftist-run big cities is a problem across the entire country.
But will it fade?
The issue ultimately comes down to representation: Residents of many of the rural areas in Eastern Oregon/Washington are not represented by the states, which are predominantly controlled major urban centers in Seattle, Portland, Eugene, Olympia, etc. It's not even about team red/blue divide, per se, either... It's more about almost all policies intended to solve urban issues being applied to rural residents (as the majority of WA/OR voters live urban/suburban regions). Demanding all these rural residents to simply move to Idaho is also absurd and a bit delusional... If the vast majority of a population in Western Texas is not being served by their state government, would it not be the democratic thing to do to allow them to join with, for example, a more aligned New Mexico government?
Great points
They are represented, proportionately. People are represented, people vote -- not dirt, not cows.
it's a terrible idea. Split OR and WA N/S not E/W. The leftoids will have only 2 senators instead of 4. The greater Idaho movement is actually screwing the country over.
Don’t see it happening. Good points.
I live in eastern Washington state and the communists selected to run the state are talking about taxing unrealized capital gains. That's basically theft. I'd love to see greater Idaho so I could escape the commie power grab taking place here. No doubt the geniuses running Oregon and California will follow suit.
Yeah I’ve heard the unrealized gains tax proposal thrown around. That’s unbelievably stupid thinking and would absolutely not work.
@@movingtobendoregon That's never stopped them before. Will they even notice it when all the businesses leave and their tax revenue actually decreases?
Changing state lines would require approval of the Oregon legislature and Trump can't do anything about that.
Yes true
😂 TDS

Maybe...this movement can include the entire western half of California (including Orange County). Imagine...one state that reaches from the Mexican boarder, all the way to Canada. ;)
Great idea 🤣
@@movingtobendoregon Actually, I made a slight mistake. I meant to say "Eastern" half of Ca. Because, if you look at the voting map of 2024, the entire eastern half went red. Either way, Greater Idaho would probably pick up 30~40 seats in the House. :)
Lol essentially the Pacific Crest Trail
@@Lilllingstoner Hahaha
@@manchaug Interesting thinking
Bet the pot smokers in Bend are not too jazzed about that possibility..........LOL
Ha! Bend would stay in Oregon 😆👌
Cowlitz ,Lewis , eastern washington join Idaho. Clark county can join portland. Nw washington can become their own state.
Haha there ya go
