Looking to buy one as a first car. So cheap for so much car!!!!! I could rewatch this video all day, I can't wait! Any tips before I buy one for myself? Great video man, that's absolutely epic. Underrated car
wow speed too fast
Great little cars but I need left-hand drive!
Do you still own this car? I think my father was the original owner of this Sonett.
Sold for client owner to German client in 2017
Looks like my dad's Singer, but his steering wheel in on the American side. It's been in the Family since about '62 or '63 when we got it. My Brother inherited the SM1500 and he drives it every now and then. He's been looking into getting a top for it. I bet your turn signals and heater don't work.
Great videography. Lol
Nice bike are you still riding it?
Where was this video made? Appears to be right hand drive Austin in a left hand drive country. The Austin Cambridge 4 cylinder and the larger Austin Westminster 6 cylinder were popular cars here in Australia, in their day.
I had one 50 years ago and it was great to hear yours drive and watch the rev counter needle jump around as mine did. Enjoy and if you want to ship it back to the U.K. let me know.
Beautiful car, one ugly S. O. A. B driving it. 🤐
Beautiful Chip , hope to see you and your Bus soon !
I have an 83 pt40. I was wondering if you remember where you bought the led replacements. Thanks
Hitlights strips from Amazon for the long runs (2800K) and a number of F15 T8 LED tube replacements from Leisure Coachworks in CA.
Hi buddy! I restored a pannonia a while ago! go to my channel!
Interesting but a shame you didn't include any clips of the car from the outside. Is it still around and running ?
Great , can one put the rear windows down ??
No, they are fixed.
Sweet
Thirst.
Sounds so nice
my first motor was 57 A50 back in 1966. Green it was and nought to sixty in ten minutes! Loved the column change.
Old video but I just bought one with 560 original miles (now has 700 because of me but whatever).
engine is V8 ?
Its a 2 litre 4 cylinder which I believe uses the Dolomite Sprint block but with an 8 valve head instead of the Sprint's 16 valve head
No it's a slant 4. The Triumph Tr8 is the model with the V8.
I drove a 54 Buick recently. It was a more than a bit scary after getting out of a modern car.... LOL
This vid should be viral!
Gorgeous car! But I must say, it seems to be pretty loud inside for a Bentley, even for a convertible.
I think that's because of all the leather he is sitting on making a squishing sound.
Is that for sell please let me know I’m really interested
Sold for $59k a week ago.
Thats a real sweetheart , great vid gentlemen !
amazed you didn't fall out when the top opened up
I’ve got a ‘39...learning how to work on it as I go. I’m 28 and my Dad and I got it when I was 12. it has 70k miles.
Chip is your bus for sale?
Yes, I'm upgrading. See post on the WOG - www.wanderlodgeownersgroup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34040 then call me - 804-357-4926
this is one of my prior coaches
Very nice little sports racer.
Nice tour Chip.
Thanks pal!
Wow loved your video, is that a 12v starter? Or am I hearing it wrong?
Beautiful Automobile....
Hi Chip. Is this bike yours? Might the owners be willing to sell?
What make and model is the horn?
Woo watching you drive with one hand and video with the other makes me nervous! Good luck with the BaT auction BTW.
Good luck with the sale!
Hello. Im looking for information regarding the black box behind the seat. I have a police 75/5 from 1971 and I believe it looked something like this, but have never found any info on the box.
I think there is all the technology for police radio in there. At least that's how it is with the new police motorcycles.
Beautiful car, Chip!
I had a '77 RD 400 back in 1980-82. It was and still is my most favorite motorcycle I ever had. I would love to buy another one, but could it be a reliable runner? I don't ride a lot--less than 3,000 miles a year. I deal with an excellent shop who said they could work on it for me. Would it hard to get parts? I imagine parts like gas tank, fenders would be very pricey? Thanks.
is it for sale
I like it! A great piece of history. They were awesome in their time and very fast for their size.
I bought that exact same bike out in California last spring and drove across county to the east coast, wow and the same color as well! You have the only other one i have seen in this gorgeous color.
The seat has been "sculpted" (non-stock) and the mirrors are wrong. Other than that, it is a nice looking bike!
