The play of the 2011 season!
Virginia really tanked that game with back to back bad throws.
Three consecutive years the Gamecocks reached the CWS finals. How many other Universities have done that ? What were the years?
Not sure but it was awesome, I’m from Columbia SC and graduated from USC, me and my Dad went to the 2nd one they won at the new stadium and was amazing experience, we really should have won 3 in a row but gave them the 3rd one, haven’t been back since though so them 3 years all we got, but we’ll take it.
Epic defense!
Some of the best defensive plays I’ve ever seen smooth as silk
We'll see your Scott Wingo and your Duane Notice and raise you Will Muschamp.
Absolutely the most clutch hitter I've ever seen at South Carolina.
Clutch defense
God what a special team! 2010-2011 national champs, 2012 runners-up, 10 straight CWS wins (record) and 22 straight tournament wins (another record).
Yep
PS. hit away away from Scott Wingo.
All they were doing was trying to bunt a guy over an VA couldn't even defend it right.
Maybe the greatest baseball game ever played.
The greatest game ever played was 1996 at the CWS Miami vs LSU. The Tigers won it with two runs in the bottom of the ninth.
@@scottbaseball8046 That may be the best ending, but this was a better game.
Great Throw
Safe at first
UVAs ace pitcher, Danny Holsen had been pitching strong and I if I remember correctly, he just had set the CWS record for strikeouts when Coach O'Conner decided to pull him, not because of sickness, rather to reserve his arm for game 3 that never came. He rolled the dice and crapped out.
Not skill? If you think that wasn't skill you are an idiot.
There is a whole lot of skill involved in those championships. No team ever wins a championship without a perfect mixture of both skill and fortune.
Poor Hudson Randle. He's probably thinking he could be modern Ronald McDonald.
OH! 1 Virginia fan and 3 Clemson fans!
Maybe FSU could use some luck to actually win a CWS for once, because they sure as hell don't have the skill to. 21 CWS appearances without a title, most all time. Not to mention, you are attributing one controversial call to numerous times skill became a factor for South Carolina to win back to back national championships. So use that "half a brain" and try to not think about being butt-hurt, because you evidently are.
Just keep putting pressure on the other team and eventually they'll mess up before you do, hopefully.
LOL the catcher couldn't believe big boy CW was trying to steal.
no the one dislike was the first guy to strikeout in that inning for virginia
whenever my family watched this game, there was a lady eating strawberry shortcake and at 9:33 she stood up and that strawberry shortcake went EVERYWHERE.
Well we start up again on the 16th of June 2012! Give us a watch see if we can get 3 in a row!
Stoney brook has defeated LSU to keep them out so it looks like either SC or Fla. would be the ones to do it for the SEC...if SC doesn't win, I think I'd like to see Stoneybrook win it
yeah Spurrier has nothing to do with it...
nice video, but it's a fake punt, not a fake field goal
"It was the makeup of this team [that won us these national championships]" - Ray Tanner
its amazing how South Carolina was so clutch in those games at the CWS. Best year of my life. 3peat!
I watched it several times myself and it appears close enough to have gone either way at 1st base
What a game... Ingram you are my hero!
I never heard him say he thought Georgia would win...
Walker is still a big dude. He looks like he could still put up 150 yards on Clemson even today.
"...and they hate Clempsin." WOOOOO!
I love how Spurrier just let Todd go when he said the score was 56-27. haha
lololol CHAMMMMPPPSSSS
heh, the replay showing the Virginia coach's reaction to the double play, if you look closely, you can make out what hes saying: "you gotta be shitting me!" or it could have been "kidding me" but i like to think he was more upset than that, lol.
bad calls, just like in football are a part of the game. ive looked back at that double play on dvr over and over, i didnt think the call could have been overturned. i also dont think the play could have been overturned if he was ruled safe. it was just too close either way.
Spurrier says "shoot" at 4:54. He tends to use that word a lot when his mind draws a blank lol. Just clearing that up.
This is OUR YEAR. GO GAMECOCKS!!!!
This is great. Thanks! Go Cocks!!
@smmclaug75 Never said anyone was obligated to respond to anything, nor did I suggest that anyone broke any rules, I'm not entirely sure where you even got that from. And if YOU had half a brain you'd realize that having your opposing team at a game winning point several times throughout the CWS and squeezing through due to bad calls and lucky plays is in fact luck and has nothing to do with skill whatsoever. @uscfan07 No I actually attend Fsu, I just saw a blown play and reacted on it.
@codymullis1996 yeah right, you heard of alshon jeffery? gurly?
@TheGamblingaddict college baseball is soo much more exciting than the pros! all the guys show passion and emotions
Awesome. Keep up the great work.
@vampirek11 umadbro?
@vampirek11 Why is anybody obligated to try to make an intelligent response to such an absurd, sour-grapes comment like that? We're supposed to think you're some kind of genius for suggesting that USC has no real talent, and we're also supposed to be really blown away by your brilliant suggestion that they broke every CWS winning record on the books because of luck? If you had half a brain you'd know that baseball doesn't work that way--nobody's that lucky. Get over it, loser, USC was better.
free seats didnt matter where i sat. i watched a great game live LOL
@guitargek07 You sir are intelligent
