(Teardown) Reverse Engineering a Reversible Belt
A video describing how a reversible belt functions, some neat design features and how they work together to form a perfect union between leather and stainless steel!
I utilized a mallet and a driving pin in order to force my pin back inside of the buckle. This seemed to work well, but only time will tell how well.

Quick 'repair' of an AutoChron Automatic Light Switch Unit
มุมมอง 3115 ปีที่แล้ว
After removing the batteries to help avoid contact with tiny humans on Halloween, the unit stopped working. Upon further investigation, I noticed the battery contacts displayed signs of corrosion due to a release of battery acid. In the video, I use a 70% solution of Isopropyl rubbing alcohol and an acid swabbing brush to remove the corrosion. Thanks for watching.

    A 9v battery has no where near the capacity that AA batteries do….

    How can i fix mine? Don’t get it

  • @davidchin711

    Use a center punch to set the pin into the buckle (place on cement floor) . Mine came apart and I just fixed mine.

      @sargasm69 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup! That's exactly how I fixed mine as well.

      @@sargasm69, Me too, except I also put a dab of JB Weld into the hole before I drove the pin back in, then wiped off the excess epoxy afterward. Hopefully, that will prevent it from coming apart again.

      Pin on mine seems to have Sheared off. I might be able to get it out if I cut a slot and back it out. I don't think I can buy a new Pin mechanism. I see they sell replacement buckles online but not sure it's worth the cost, but I really like this Levi belt..

      @@irish89055 If your pin sheared off, I guess you would have to buy a new belt. If you brought a belt the same width , you might be able to switch the buckle. Good luck.

    Mine is having same prob..which batteries are u using cause the AA aint workin in mine too

    • @sargasm69
      @sargasm69 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I swapped mine out for a 9V, but it requires soldering. You should be able to use a 9V to test without taking the whole side off. If the motor works, there is an issue creating a closed circuit. Does it work (with AA installed) when pressing firmly on the battery enclosure? You can see the exposed aluminum on the battery door when it's open and that is what needs to make a firm connection in order to drive the motor. Tin foil in the same shape as the exposed aluminum would work short term if that is the issue. Good luck!
