I need to know how to make an item from scratch. All the videos I have seen doesn't show anything on how to start from scratch. I am new to the 3d printing and I want to make a item. BUT how do I get started from scratch without using the pre installed projects. For example I want to make a circle into an rectangle with rounded corners.
Hello. I know this comment comes a bit late, but if you'd like to make a 3D model, there are plenty of 3D modeling applications that you can download: a lot of the people at the Invention Studio use either SolidWorks or Fusion360 since those are the engineering CAD software programs taught at Georgia Tech, but both of those do unfortunately cost money. If you are looking for a free option, I've heard good things about both TinkerCAD and FreeCAD. If you're looking for something more organic, I believe Blender is a great bet. Of course, you can also always look up a model in a 3D model library, such as thingiverse.
from someone who builds solid models from wire frame this is absurd the part looks horrendous then you have all these layers cleaning it up and then have to assign it wireframe to be able to machine it,and to spend 90k for all that is crazy, maybe to use it to get wireframe and build a model from there but that point cloud stuff is rediculous
I love this. Is there a possibility for a hands on training?
This is so good I wonder who made this
A professional
Not you
Can you just tell us how to select the object not the other parts that we don't need it to be selected.
Wow! What a great resource!
Figured it out.
How do you get that picture file?
did you miss clipping plane since it is picking up the surface?
Step 1: Wear an anti-static wrist ground strap. Skipping that step in the real world will get you fired from a job.
Wow! Looking forward to visiting

Can you tutor online??
I wish I was at studio :(
Why the emphasis on aligning the GT with coordinates (0,0), but not do the same with the text box? It didn't seem to make a difference to me when using the JobControl.
Oh, that was to set the position of the holes. It could've been done the same with the text box as well, but there was not a real reason to.
@@jeffpark9122 Ah I see. Thank you
amazing stuff
absolutely beautiful
Whoa
very interesting, thank you!
Not enough explosions, I've been spoiled by ElectroBOOM
Thank you Parker, very cool!
