Today we look at the updates I have made to the fish gallery in the last year. We look at the new lighting for my fish rack. I finally fill up and aquascape my 55 gallon tank. Move some tanks around to make room on my rack. Talk about projects coming up this summer.

I have three males in a 10 gallon. Do you think I need one or two more? They seem to be getting a long decently right now, but one kind of bugs another a bit but not too much.
Thanks for your comment. Three in a ten gallon could work depending on the layout of your tank. If you have hiding spots and line of sight breaks. I would keep a close eye on them and look for any signs of aggression.
@@capitalcityaqatics The two that look similar seem to chase each other a bit. The one that looks different from them seems to not be bothered near as much. They don't chase each other all the time or anything, but sometimes they seem more stimulated and the chasing is a bit more.

Thank you for your support. So far it has proven to be a great filter I might modify it at a later date. That will be it own separate video if I choose to do so.

Yes I did. The part that was most time consuming was the removal of the old lid.

Thanks for your comment. As far as the spacing goes I hope to be fine. I measured everything out but is adjustments are needed they are easy to make.

@@capitalcityaqatics I will be interested in your choice for a racking system. I have been looking into the different "diy" options, for a custom rack to fit my needs. I have narrowed it down to the "standard" sort of "'king'of diy" option, to fabricating some thing with Dado joints, to the unique style Cory from aquarium Co-op uses in his store. So I'm thinking a hybrid of the last two would be neato.
It is not a bacteria, it is a parasite. I think you realize my friend. Great content.

Great advice Alfred. I have guppies and endlers. I use plants, brine shrimp, freezer dried, bloodworm and daphnia in a pepper grinder
Thank you Jefferey, I'm just trying to share what has worked for me and hope that my subscribers can have success as well. I have never tried the pepper grinder tip but i can see how it would work and might actually try it.

I bought a brine shrimp net from Petsmart and this way you don't end up over salting you tank.
Getting your eggs from Ebay might be more economical Alfred. I don't know if there is an extra charge for Canada though. I do use pool salt for mine and seem to have good results. It is much Cheaper than buying aquarium salt.
Thanks for the advice, much appreciated I'm using aquarium salt because its something i have in stock. I have heard from friends that Aquarium Direct also has good quality eggs.
@@capitalcityaqatics amazon has a huge container for 150$ they are pricey but ive heard good things about them (high hatch rate), i can show you next time your in too

I have to add, it’s him to just started vinegar eels too for the fry . For the adults I feed freeze dried blood worms and the Everything Aquatic adult guppy food plus different Dr Bassleer foods too .
I use baby brine shrimp , north fin fry and another fine powder just for baby guppies is Guppy Color Micro Feast by “everything aquatic” . This one has 52% protein . Excellent ingredients too

I’m doing the same with platinum red tailed blue dumbo eared guppies. Strange thing is all the babies from the first generation of my three guppy females have yellow tails . Though the fry are still are tiny just a few weeks old, I’m not sure why this is and if I’ll actually get the red tails of the dad . I bought the aquarium co op brine shrimp breeder and it’s great ! Babies love it as do the other fish .
Good luck with your breeding project. Some times it takes time before you get the desired look with guppies.
I feed 3 times a day. I grow my own live shrimp for a few days then switch to a bloodworm/daphnia meal while my shrimp is hatching out. The bloodworm/daphnia is freeze dried which I put in a pepper grinder and it gives the fry small enough for them to consume.
I just joined your channel thanks to Michael Fish Room recommending you. You are very knowledgeable I raise guppies but the one LFS would not give me any credit for them and the other one they are just starting out and I just give him my excessive guppies. I know he is struggling for now so I don't have the heart to ask him for compensation. He especially likes my endler/guppy crosses

it seems like you are not very excited about doing videos...u sounds like d..ng person...boring but subject is super excited
You can also make a lid with holes and baskets in it, then grow hydroponic leafy greens on the top with a grow light. If you have a light on 16/8 you get an enormous yield and those lettuce leaves, basil, cilantro and bok Choy will be feeding on the nitrogen from fish excretions, which means they will clean your tank and regulate the water quality for you.
