Thanks for posting all this old footage ❤️❤️❤️

Pour toujours Jacques!
I watched when first aired 🎉😊❤
I loved her
The beginning of the end of the lower mainland, Expo was fun though
I miss those old Vancouverites. The city streets were regal back then with people that dressed well, communicated well and acted well. It was a beautiful Canadian society....long gone.
Should've been edited, honestly.
I only got two and a half minutes in and realized, “Wow. Was Expo 86 ever stupid! Thank God I didn’t go.”
I was six. My mom was a manager at one of the souvenir shops. I must have spent half my summer there.
Skytrain Mark 1: So This Is The Fireworks
You have no idea how many years I spent looking for this video...thank you so much for posting
Remember all the different pavilions, but my favorite was the German with the the food and beer plus the music.
That was a lot of fun times as a 22-year old.
I was born in '86! Great year!
86 street what a blast 🎉
This destroyed Vancouver.
Yeah, this was what turned Vancouver into the city it is now. Until then it was as unknown as Winnepeg, just a sleepy little city on Canada's west coast but this drew the attention of very wealthy developers who saw the gold mine of real estate it was. Now no one but millionaires can afford it.
23:53 that's some peak 80s fashion right there
Actually,Jack Bailey was the second mc of"Truth Or Consequences"..Bob took over the show, after Jack left.
Ça rend nostalgique! Merci pour cette vidéo. Tu as un nouvel abonné 😉

That's 38 years ago...oh myyyyy
Thank you for posting this. I was there, at about 17 years old, with my first girlfriend from high school. I only have a few photos of that experience. What I wouldn't give to be back there again. I wouldn't go on to waste so much of my life if I could go back to 1986 with the experience and knowledge I have now. On the other hand, I'm still wasting a lot of my time. Hmmm.
<<<wrestled both Chicago and Cleveland
cool things could done before they completed trashed the economy, and our minds and souls along with it I am sooo, sooooo, SOOOOO jealous of anyone who got to experience this. And how the fuck could they afford to construct and deconstruct a literal gondola and a monorail for this? Like what???
Only 3 places built for the expo were built to stay, the rest were all designed to be pulled down easily.
I worked Expo 86 and would finish a shift on one side and then get on a trolly and go to work a shift somewhere else on the other side of the park😄. The best were the evening shifts because we got to hear all the live bands at the outdoor theatre and we had sweatshirts that listed all the bands that played there. Yeah all horrible things come to an end, it was just a job but interesting 😁
No Indians, fewer homeless, clean, safe, affordable, prosperous. What happened?
I was 14 years old when I went!
This is amazing, great footage ! Thanks for sharing, bring back memories
I remember walking through Canada place at 12 years old and being amazed at everything. I remember getting Covid vaccinated in that same space 35 years later and being amazed at how fucking weird life is.
Amazing entertainer and such a wonderful human being
I was there . Thanks for sharing. Sparked memories of photos I never took.
This sure brings back some memories. Thanks for sharing!
Not a smart phone 📱 insight heaven❤
Es que la version complete de ce video existe en quelque part?
Vancouver still had freaks then. I went to Expo '86. One day to see everything. I spent the whole summer at Expo '67, in Montréal and didn't see everything.
Miss seeing Tony Parsons on the news. Closing down anything dental related is a huge tragedy. With few of us having as little access to dental anyways because of the high costs.
Look at that white crowd... wow, times sure have changed... meanwhile at TD bank i have to wait longer than everyone cuz i dont speak mandarin
Ooh la la
This disaster was the beginning of the end for Vancouver. After this, organized crime and the provincial government went on a spree with billions of dollars of building scams. The leaky condos were just a taste. Vancouver now is a complete piece of shit and virtually unlivable unless you were partaking of the scams such as Terra Nova in richmond and all of the Rennie criminality. So sad this gorgeous area was ruined for the generations to come.
I hated Expo! Crowds, my friends got kicked out of their rented houses, foreign money started buying up the land and houses. Worst fair ever!
That’s a side that not a lot of people talk about.
Then you haven't been to many fairs
Did everyone forget their cellphones at home?
