Can you make your average rate go down by having more lower rates in your system?
Where do you find the category ID? I am using this short coe found on your website "[newbook_online force_category_id=”5”]" yet I am not finding a way to locate and actual ID.
Where would you put the duration of the booking?
Hi there, The duration is set differently depending on where you're booking from. On the booking or availability charts, simply click to select the arrival and departure dates-the duration will auto-fill. On the 'Add Booking' page, you can manually adjust the booking length if needed. If you have any questions, reach out to our support team! :)

When does this go into effect? I do not see that option on my Newbook account.
Hi Angela! We’ll be transitioning all customers in phases to ensure a seamless roll out, so hang tight! More information and a video training tutorial is coming your way to advise of your transition date. Many of our clients have also partnered with our creative team on custom designs, so please rest assured, our team will be leading this switch to ensure there is no impact to your design or guest experience.

Can we except direct bookings through new book? Are there insurance options for direct bookings? Does this integrate with Airbnb and Hipcamp?
Hi there! Absolutely, you will accept direct online bookings via our online booking system, which can be customized to your branding. However Newbook can also connect to Airbnb and Hipcamp + many others. All of your listings will be synced so that rates, availability etc is updated in real time. We currently don't offer insurance options, however this is something we're exploring for future and we'd love to hear your suggestions! I agree with others that having time stamps added would be very helpful. I am looking for knowledge about creating staff shifts and shift templates and if this video had time stamps, I could tell if that content is included without having to watch the entire video.

This is my grandpa! My sister and I used to work at the Austin Tourist Park with him but we moved to different things, we loved Newbook!! That is one gnarly interface. Easy for a 90yr old? C'mon, thats difficult for a 20 yr old tech native. Too many buttons. Start with check in, and "other" or you're going to have very confused people.
Hi Don, the Self-Service Kiosks are customisable so operators have full control over which buttons and options are available to their guests.
