    Yeah i think you are right and in my opinion the next big thing in 2025 is ai agents which agencies will build and give it in monthly recurring model. It's is in initial stage rn and mostly by quarter of next year half of the people will start doing it. And yeah openai is also launching its ai agent next year mostly in January so people start using it make their own agents sell it to the business and make money from that, sharing just my pov on this and i am learning this rn

      It's interesting to see your thoughts on AI agents, and you're right that it's already happening. A prime example is the Truth Terminal on Twitter, which operates as an AI agent that has even become a millionaire through its activities. This AI was designed to manage its own social media presence and has attracted significant attention and funding, including a $50,000 investment in Bitcoin to support its operations.

    There are some flaws with the perspective shown here. Most serious developers know that the bar to entry to code is seriously low. Maybe not low enough that every layman knows how, but low enough that it is a tiny fraction of what they have needed to go through. If all you wanted to do was figure out the basics of how to set up a basic website as what a layman would need, then you could probably do it within a week. There were people who did this in the past and that is a thing. It has been done so much that a lot of code available for AI training are the kind of code made by those without all that much training (partially because they tend to put a lot of training projects up for show, which the data collection for AIs can then find). That also means that the code the AI is trained to make will in a sense be compariable to that code. The thing to understand is that most actual profesional positions do not really accept people at that level of programming, for the simple reason that it is just so low quality compared to what else they can get. Most profesionals have moved so far beyond that level that they do not feel treated by them. It is kind of like a profesional athlete not feeling threated (in the short term) by there being a sudden rise in the popularity of their spot at the school level, those people are not really compete with them anyway, at least not until much later when they become much more experienced, and for AI users that just does not work the same way. Another thing to understand is that AI is litterally built to trick you, because that is how you train such an AI. You have it generate samples and the variantions that makes you least likely to notice they were wrong are the ones chosen. Having code that is hard to notice it is wrong is terrible, because that makes it harder and harder to find bugs, and more and more likely that bugs will sneak their way into production. For a lot of applications such bugs can cause huge issues, with examples like letting your site be hacked , the entire thing not working or doing something other than what you expected (how would you like it if your webshop ended up transfering money the wrong way on purchases, because it switched up two words somewhere and you did not notice it). Now one might argue that it having less shown faults would indicate that there really was less bugs in it, but we also know that generative AI is perfectly happy passing up entirely fake things as real, and the way they are built is based on trying to guess the pattern of how things would look if someone said it rather than being based on there being logic in what they tell you. A way to understand how current AI works is that it is a master of telling you "I think I read somewhere that said something like X", where X is its response. Basically it runs on a kind of instictual gut feeling of memory. That means it can do a lot of things, but it also means you cannot trust it to have reached its results based on consistent logic. There are a lot of places where that is not that important, but in a few fields like in Engineering, Computer Science, and Law that logical process is not optional, and not following it can have servere consequences.

    • @harshith_eth
      @harshith_eth 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You raise some excellent points, especially around the limitations of AI and the need for consistent logic in fields where even small errors can have significant consequences. It's true that current AI models often operate on pattern recognition rather than rigorous logic, and this can indeed lead to subtle yet potentially critical issues in complex applications. However, AI can still offer valuable support, especially when it's used thoughtfully as a tool rather than a replacement. In many cases, AI-generated code can handle routine tasks and offer a quick starting point, freeing up experienced developers to focus on more complex, high-stakes work that requires deep understanding and logical rigor. Also, as AI models evolve, there’s potential for these tools to improve in logic and consistency, especially as training methods and datasets are refined. But I agree that, as it stands, careful oversight by skilled professionals is essential for any high-stakes applications. Ultimately, AI in coding may not yet be a threat to seasoned developers, but it can be a powerful assistant-so long as we stay aware of its limitations and apply it thoughtfully.

    • @sorcdk2880
      @sorcdk2880 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The best usecase for AI for coding at the moment is as a form of strong autocompletion for smaller parts to boilerplate areas. I would recommend keeping it away from any actual business logic. Another reasonable but less good usecase is as an inspiration source, similar to how you would otherwise search online. As long as you can find a decent result you are probably going to have a superior result with searching online, but you might get there faster with generative AI. Ultimately the AI is just trying to replicate the knowledge that you could search up online, but it ends up with extra flaws in the process, which is the price you pay for that speed. Using generative AI directly for the code of business logic is like playing with fire. You might be able to have it work out for you for a while, but you should expect to get burned eventually. Even if bugs are not all that critical, you still run into the issue that you are trying to optimize the relatively cheap part of developing --- the step of actually writing the code down, as opposed to all the other things related to developing which all also take up considerable amount of time, and which is where you pay for doing that. Basically you tend up with a net loss of time once you include the time needed to handle bugs and such from the shorted time to write down the code itself. It should be telling that the productivity of a typically developer has little to do with optimizing writing time (with loc output tending to stay mostly constant), but rather a bunch of other things around it that causes the net amount of time to get to the end result to go down, and that the amount of time such a change can make can be an entire order of magnitude. It should be note that while logically such AI should not be threatening such developers, those higher up in management might not understand that logic and make decisions based on the assumptions that they can be replaced. Those decisions are expect to hurt them, but that takes time to happen, as management is not exactly that quick on picking up on stupid decisions that are causing them huge losses. This means that it does have a weird effect on the job-market for such developers. Weirdly enough the logical part is that it is likely going to end up making it much more costly to get highly skilled developers, as AI is going to more compete with the entry level code monkey style jobs, which in turn means that there are going to be less new developers and as such have to pay a higher and higher price on the squeezed population of highly skilled developers. If you looking at the entrace to development, I highly recommend not going the heavy AI route, for the simply reason that it is going to get in your way of learning, the same way as if you use a calculator for all your math. Sure it will give you the result, but you are not going to get the same training and understanding that was the purpose of solving those problems in the first place, and not having that understanding means that you do not have a good understanding of the building blocks for the next layer of understanding, which means you end up getting increasingly lost and face some kind of wall you cannot figure out to cross, while in reality you could have walked all the way there if you bothered to actually take each step at a time instead of just going for the easy solution.

    Yes, you need to know, because any time you will find a problem that AI can not solve, and you'll need to analyze the code deeply to solve it
