Key numbers are facts about what happened and it's not meant to be good or bad.
Key numbers are facts about what happened and it's not meant to be good or bad.
It's not meant to be a judgment. It just is what it is. Okay. It happened. It's the history of what actually happened. And then use what happened.
If you liked the result of what happened, repeat it. And now you can repeat it because you have that information gathered in one spot. So you know what the inputs were, you know what the output was.
If you didn't like whatever the result was, You now have the information of what the input was and what the output was. And now what do you have to change? What do you have to change in the input to get the outcome, the output, the outcome that you wanted? Okay.
That's what I like about KPIs. I feel like sometimes when I talk to clients or even into prospects or business owners in general, some don't want to look at their numbers because they're facts.
And they know they have this gut feeling that things were bad because they were struggling when they see the numbers, there's usually something good that was happening all along but their vibe meter was off.

It does seem counter intuitive, right? But narrowing your focus to only 1 or 2 areas of law, will pave the way for you to be an expert in those areas. Additionally, you will become more efficient because you will be doing the same tasks over and over. Very true most business owners don't have the knowledge or time to understand the monthly finances and they should. Simplifying this is a great idea.

I watched this movie for the first time a few weeks ago. I can't believe it was released 10 years ago. I'm upset by how so many business owners struggle when Jordan Belfort crashed and burned (BADLY and completely illegally!) and yet it's rumored that he's returned to millionaire status.

    • @profit.scale.thrive

Profit First is a book written by Mike Michalowicz. It is a way to manage the cash flow for your business. It's a simple and proven way to handle your money. The best thing is that by design, you as the owner are guaranteed to make a profit and pay yourself a reasonable wage! It's been life changing for me. I recommend it to every business owner I know.
