I need like a ONE YEAR CAMP ON JUST STRUMMIMG 😢. im so frustrated with strumming
@@rachelcook5697 it can be tough
Nice job young
@@rexchristian3067 thank you Sir!
You're correct when you say count the strums. A lot of times I've heard. Down Down Down Up Down Up.. instead of 1 2 3&4&... must is time not Downs and Up... Good tutorial...
@@liberalsrmentallyflawed3611 thank you
Good exercise. Anything to improve. Thank you for the advice.
You're very welcome!
@KevinMcIverSongs I already tried a few times today with 2 chords G and C and I can feel a difference and timely much better. For me this a long term project and hobby. It also help to use the fingers to change in between the chords. Chords that I like also are D7, and Dm, Am and Em.
It was a long process for me too. It takes time, but it comes!
Main thing is. Do not get frustrated. Down load a Metronome App on your phone. And strum to it.. Just practice, practice. Just know your gonna get it..
thanks!
Thank you!
Just because a chord is above a certain word. I've had lots where the chord changes is wrong. And for singing and playing. Need to study the song. Just because there's a chord changes. The lyrics (vocals) may not come in till the 2nd or 3rd beat. And a chord can split a measure, hold for a measure, hold for 2 measures before the next change. Beginners need to understand these truths...
@@liberalsrmentallyflawed3611 yeah there are some intricacies to chord charts. I should make an expanded video explaining the nuances. This one is just a kind of a brief definition. Thanks for the info.
Um... absolutely no

The first strum pattern is 2 measures @ 3/4 beat? (novice player) D-U -U D-U ll -U D-U D-U
@@McNighthawk750 the rhythm I am playing in is in 4/4
@@KevinMcIverSongs Then would it be like this? D _ | _ U | _ U | D _ || _ U | _ U | D U | D U

hello sir I visited your ID saw your video quality is very good. Sound quality is good. But I saw some problems in your channel: • Keywords. • Video tags •Rang tag •channel tag • Video SEO score is very low. Due to these reasons, your video does not receive views ,likes and subscribes ..
Thanks for letting me know
Nice video mate. Keep the videos coming and good luck with your channel
Thank you so much
For us beginners it helps if you share the time signature this fits along with counting out the time signature rather than just the up/down/up. Thanks!
@@longahc Thanks for the feedback. I look forward to making better and better videos with great feedback like this.
Can this be done fingerpicking?
I’d assume so. All a strumming pattern is is a series of musical notes held out for periods of time. A finger picking pattern would just be individual note played for the same lengths of time.
What’s the purpose of it sir?
It boosts the signal from low-output microphones by adding 25 dB of gain
Open strings? is there any chords?
Here's a video I released last week on the chords I am playing. They two of the chords are slightly different, but this tutorial should guide you in the right direction. th-cam.com/video/BH-hWyifT2I/w-d-xo.html

Any recommendations for a cheap multirecorder for podcast.....i have usb mics... but will do if any other options are available under budget
You could try the Zoom H4n. It has 4 channels, and I know it's been used a ton. It's still portable like this, but it's a step above.
Awesome job!

Can you run a dynamic mic into the line in if you use an adapter chain? Xlr to 1/4inch to aux?
@@videoenjoyer4923 Yes. Just just need to put an 1/8th inch adapter on the 1/4 end. It’s got really good quality when you plug directly in.
