Once a largely insular society, the country is now welcoming international influences, leading to a vibrant mix of global and local cultures. Saudi Arabia and the surrounding countries (UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait) are very very safe places, the people generally are faithful + not poor so I would be very surprised to hear such an incident happening in these areas!
Even I was so shocked too. Because I been in the Middle East for a decade now and never lost anything. It will probably be a tourist because these kind of things don’t happen here. That’s why I even thought 💭, initially that it was a joke.

As a Saudi, you are welcome. I hope they allow alcohol in these areas. The government believes that we are religious. Half of our people go to Bahrain for alcohol. If they open stores here, it would be better.
