Wow this is my kind of layout! I saw your banjo signal. I saw it barely moving and was wondering if that's how they normally operate? Because mine does the same thing where it barely moves unless I give it around 20V!

2:11 I just got one of these gateman too for this year's layout! Hook it up to a pushbutton, and it gives kids something they can control to their hearts content. 8:00 Maybe I've been out of the loop, but I don't remember seeing that ceiling layout before -- it's quite nice, especially that Haunted Mansion!

Are you using a O-31, black tie, 3-rail system? I’m trying to do an O-31 layout on a 36” x 80” door slab. I know there was a site called Thors Trains that had exactly a section for doorway layout using the O-31 track, but the site was taken down because the guy died. I wish I saved those images. At the moment I’m in SCARM trying to figure out how to make my track more interesting.

This is the exact same set my dad bought "for me", for Christmas (probably from Sears and Roebuck, where he worked) back in 1954. I turned 4 that November. Didn't realize just how much $49.95 was back then. Loved seeing this video of it in action. Thanks!

Well done! I have the 2033 set. For me, it runs faster with the powered A unit running in reverse. So I have the dummy be the lead and have the powered unit behind it running in reverse to go forward.. if that makes sense.
