High feed milling cutter is first choice for roughing out material with slender milling assemblies
มุมมอง 2022 หลายเดือนก่อน
I wanted to show the advantage of a high feed milling cutter when you want to remove chip volume as fast as possible with a slender milling tool assembly. It is all about chip thinning effect and directing some of the cutting forces axially rather than radially. In this exercise I show the high feed CoroMill MH20 compared to the shoulder mill CoroMill MS20.

Fine boring with PCD inserts in abrasive Aluminum
มุมมอง 5589 หลายเดือนก่อน
Fine boring with PCD inserts on small diameter slender tool assemblies. Poly Crystalline Diamond (PCD) is coming in as ana alternative to increase edge lifetime in abrasive high silicone aluminum alloys. But PCD inserts do not have positive geometries an sharp edges. How will this affect stability in small diameter and slender tool assemblies. CoroBore 825 fine boring tools, in two different le...
Silent Tools shoulder milling duel between CoroMill HF80 and CoroMill 490R

    Can you use for high feed Q50-Q64 Z7-Z8

    • @palarvesollie
      @palarvesollie 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Can be use with high feed milling cutters, but outside diameter of cutter should be not much bigger than adaptor shank diameter, cutter weight on these adaptors should be less than 1 kg (2.2 lbs) and spindle adaptive iten as short as possible - for high feed operations, see th-cam.com/video/mFt9ia2czyc/w-d-xo.html

      Silent Tools products with Coromant Capto interface C5 or smaller on machine tool side can be used in your BT40 machine, via a spindle adaptive item (basic holder) similar to C5-390B.140-40 040/C4-390B.140 030/C3-390B.140 030/.. from Sandvik Coromant

    Amazing. My experience was with wore out machines and tooling that would chatter at 4xD tool lengths. This equipment is doing it 3 times longer and at a higher MRR.

    How calculate Net power(kW) Cutter torque ( Nm) Specific cutting force (N/mm2) Mrr (Q)

    • @palarvesollie
      @palarvesollie 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Input values: • Hole depth to be machined, Lm [mm] • Machined diameter, Dm [mm] • Cutter outer diameter, DCX [mm] • Face effective cutting edge count, ZEFP • Entering angle, KAPR [°] • Maximum chip thickness, hex [mm] • Cutting speed, Vc [m/min] • Pitch (axial feed per revolution), ap [mm] Calculated values: • Engagement of existing tool in each component [min] = Depth to be machined Lm / Penetration rate Vz • Tool path diameter, Dvf = Dm - DCX [mm] • Average chip thickness, hm = [360 * sin KAPR * ae.eff * fz] / [DCX * π * acos (1- (2* ae.eff / DCX))] [mm] • Periphery feed per tooth if ae.eff < DCX/2, fzp = DCX * hex/2 * sin KAPR * sqrt [(DCX * ae.eff) - (ae.eff²)] • Periphery feed per tooth if ae.eff ≥ DCX/2, fzp = hex / sin KAPR [mm/tooth/rev] • Spindle speed, n = (Vc * 1000) / (π * DCX) [RPM] • Tool centre feed per tooth, fz = fzp * Dvf / Dm [mm/tooth/rev] • Feedrate for tool centre, Vf = fz * n * ZEFP [mm/min] • Ramping angle, RMP = atan [ap / (π * Dvf)] [°] • Efffective radial width of cut, ae.eff = Dm /2 [mm] • Penetration rate, Vz = (Vf * ap) / (π * Dvf) • Specific cutting force in defined cut, Kc = Kc1 * hm-mc [N/mm²] • Net power, Pc = Q * Kc / 60 000 [kW] • Cutter torque, Mc = (Pc *60 * 1000) / (2π * n) [Nm] • Material removal rate, Q = [(π * Dm²) / 4000] * Vz [cm³/min]
