💕Wow🤍🤍🤍🤍💜🤍🤍🤍🤍
Why do everyone put garlic in they fish bait
Pungent odour is said to attract fish’s attention as they seek for food and also masks any scent that may put them off
Is it just me or did anyone else notice he did not pull the first snell tight against the eye like the improved snell? I tie my snells at home and use a pulling pin built into my bench to pull everything tight no matter what hook. I can see where the improved would be a darling to tie on a short treble. I'll stick to the way I know that works for me. Just my 2 cents.
Thank you for your comment and for sharing your technique! You’re right, in the video, we didn't pull the first Snell tight against the eye like the improved Snell. This was intentional to demonstrate the potential pitfalls and common mistakes anglers can make. Even if the first Snell is pulled tight initially, over time, similar failures can occur due to the rough edges of the hook eye, especially under the stress of fighting a large fish. Our goal with this video was to illustrate these potential issues and to show why the improved Snell knot can be more reliable in the long run. It's great to hear that you have a method that works well for you, and using a pulling pin sounds like a very effective technique! Thanks again for your input and for watching our video.
Too wraps around the hook. The line breaks easy.
Power snell or egg loop are 2 best snells for multiple reasons. Thank me later.
Can not subscribe to this channel??😂😂😂😂😂😂
Also If you have a long Tag end you can Gang your hooks using the same knot. Super neat.
Thanks so much for your feedback and for watching our videos !! Happy fishing
Why the music
Your second version is the original, traditional method. Your first version is the more recent uni knot version. It is not as good as traditional version because the tag end lays outside all of the wraps.
Thank you for your comment and for watching !
I tied several different knots on 18lb fluorocarbon and tested them for strength. Your knot is the strongest, approximately 80% strength. How to explain this?
Thanks for sharing and for watching our videos .. what knots are you comparing specifically? There are a number of variables that impacts knot strength
@@Fishingknotsfast First of all, I was interested in comparing your knot with the traditional snell knot. It gave 60% strength. I also used uni knot snell and easy snell for comparison. The result was even worse.
Thanks for upload. When is the best time to go?
Thanks for watching !!! The best time for crabbing is from October to January, this is when the crabs are often largest and populations are at the peak after spawning, They come in through the entrance during the flood tide and best time to catch them is 1-2 hours after high tide, once the current in the channel dies down a bit. Use chicken carcass or necks … some swear by a few dashes of fish sauce …
I don't use both technique, I use a slight variation of your first one, but tying direction from the shank to the loop. That's way more effective and easiest.
Thank you for the suggestion and for watching ! Really appreciate it
Ive never made a snell either of these 2 ways.
Yes, the simpkest knots are always the best
Remember all of you don't leave your lines in the water and don't litter.
Yes absolutely! Trash and discarded fishing lines can entangle and injure wildlife, disrupt ecosystems, and spoil the beauty of natural habitats. Responsible fishing practices help preserve aquatic environments for future generations to enjoy.
You need to pull on the tag end. That's a terrible Uni knot demo.
Thanks for your comment this is a new Uni knot the tag end is pulled to tighten the wraps in the beginning actually both the tag and standing line need to be pulled and to finish off the knot the standing line is pulled to cinch and secure you can’t just pull the tag, try it sometime :)
Never once had that happen to a cinch knot. Then again, I use flourocarbon, not weed wacker line.
Thanks for your comment , it’s more of risk mitigation . Love the “ weed whacker line “ terminology though ;)
@@Fishingknotsfast HAHA I am always in for a new knot. I seriously have not had a cinch knot slip like that ever though. Dig the swivel knot though. I'll give it a shot for fun.
I am 68yo and have been doing the 1st way ll my life & never had one fail. If you had pulled it tight, presto it would never fail.
Thank you for your feedback and for sharing your experience,I do agree with you but there are also variables to line type , quality , diameter and so on hence the second method does reduces the risks significantly especially for beginners starting out .. losing a fish is really not a great feeling :) thanks again for watching !!
Sorry, ng
Thanks for watching nonetheless! Appreciate your input and feedback
Good knot. But if you just wouldve pulled on the main line one more time and actually sintched the knot to the eye on the first one it wouldn't have come undone. You made it so it was easy to come undone.
Thanks for your feedback , the way it was tied is often done by beginners but side by side comparison the second method does reduce the risk significantly, through usage , slippage can happen by the nature of the line and wraps.
Очень надёжный и красивый узел 👍🔥

Thank you for your time and for watching
Fast doesn't mean strong!
Absolutely 👍 when we have a choice we go strong but when fish is in a frenzy we balance speed to get line in water 💧
Neither one is correct . You should start wrapping your line from the top down .
Thanks for watching and for your feedback! Winding the line towards the eye of the fishing hook can create a slightly different knot structure. Some anglers prefer this method because they believe it provides better knot strength and security, particularly when using certain types of hooks or fishing techniques. However, the difference in performance between winding towards or away from the eye is generally minimal and subjective, so it ultimately comes down to personal preference I would say ..
But how strong is it? I favor the palomer knot
Good point Palomar is stronger
Great video. Thanks for posting this!
Nice video, and great colour choice. What happens to the raffia string when it gets wet. Does it keep it's shape or go mushy. I really want to try this myself.
good video, now I have to go back and check my snells. BTW what method of snell knots would you recommend for tying a pair of smaller #2 or #4 hooks in line facing opposite? I fish a lot for trout and I prefer the two hook set up and I want each hook facing away so I can get a bite regardless of which side they may swipe from. The problem I am having is trying to be consistent with keeping the two hook about a 1/4" apart. It seems 50% when I snug up the knot the hooks have slid further apart and I have to clip clip and start again. TIA
Here’s and example …if you use this method the hooks won’t move and stays in position where you want the two hooks to be at Prevent your hook from moving when tying a snell ! th-cam.com/video/lvHeo4YHjpo/w-d-xo.html
Is this a good knot for fluorocarbon line for a swivel to lure trout fishing? Thanks
Yes it is recommended but not when your line is too heavy and stiff . Tornado HH knot is nearly 100 % of straight strength. Meaning the knot has the same tensile strength as the line.
I found it difficult to tie this knot on smaller/shorter hooks. It also uses way more line than the regular snell. I've never had a regular snell unravel on me, so, until it does, I won't worry about it.
ya I tried this on a flipping hook with a keeper and found this hard to tie with the lack of space the keeper gives you
@@Noblitt5 Yep, totally can see how that can happen.
That would be tricky if using a flipping hook with a bait keeper .. u can use a regular snell knot between the bait-keeper and the eye.. but snell still increases hookup ratio
I'm glad you showed the weaker way at the beginning as I had that same problem. I thought I was doing something wrong and just went back to my palomar knots that I know for sure how to tie well.
Thanks for the comment
How long of a mono or fluorocarbon lead would you suggest for say a wacky rig setup? I'm guessing a 3 foot minimum?
Yes I would say around 3 feet
Is this knot suitable for fluorocarbon?
Although designed around mono the knot which is a very old knot is perfect for FC ..the multiple wraps and structure distribute stress and increase friction really well, resulting in a strong connection! :)
This link is by far the best and easiest way to snell a hook properly in my opinion!!! th-cam.com/video/KH9Cp0Xglo0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_OPPmbZPVqq0tWlu
omg big thanks to you man i try do double hook with very close hooks only your way did work thank you very much
Thanks for the comment ! Glad you liked the video. Do share how you rig it up or let us know what other knots or rig types we should feature on our channel !
I think the first one its called an "easy snell" and the second one its the original snell, but you're right the easy snell its not that good
absolutely genius , been watching you bro , tumbs up 👍 all the way from LA
Appreciate the kind comments and for watching.. tight lines !
very good
Thanks for the comments !
Это на собаку?
I liked this knot. So practic..
Thanks
Bad camera angle. I wish i could see how you did it.
Thanks for the feedback let us fix that and create a better video !! Appreciate your comment .
Theres a million dofferent knots and the truth is three or four will cover most or all situstions. This know isnt easy, relatively speaking.
Thanks for watching and for the comments. Great point there the standard knots ain’t bad and works well. At the same time mastering various fishing knots is key for different situations. Different knots offer varying strength, reliability, and ease of tying. A strong knot can prevent losing a big catch, while a specific knot may be better suited for certain types of bait or lines. Versatility in knot tying enhances your angling skills, ensuring you're well-prepared for diverse fishing scenarios which we will never know .
I can do that knot without a bobby pin
Good for you, your parents must be proud
