Jessica Galan is an American music educator, singer / songwriter, composer, pianist and dancer born and raised in New Jersey. Her grandfather is the famous saxohphonist Nando Galan, who popularized the 1985-1986 hit single "Faltastes a la Cita." Nando Galan also popularized the slogan "Y Sabes Quien Es? Nando Galan!" Jessica Galan is the daughter of Johnny Galan, a popular merengue singer, musician, and band leader of the 90's and early 2000's. It was he who influenced Jessica to study classical piano during her childhood and also supported her interest in studying classical ballet, modeling / acting, and visual arts.
Jessica has a university degree in Music Education with a concentration on the classical piano and English Literature. Her education in music and performing arts, her family's influence, and her work as a public-school music educator makes her a diverse artist and musician, for she creates music in such genres as Pop, Children's music, Latin, Instrumental and more.
