I've stayed in Detwang many times but not since 2015, glad to see not much has changed, just as it should be a really authentic village, PRIMA!

The crowd and The crazies are not there yet. If you build it they will come lol I don't live far away about 30 miles but I know how bad it can be. Get in early check out the cool cars and get out. Maybe you will come home with something cool if you are looking . Just don't stay for the run and if you do don't drive. Take the trolley or walk.. your cool car my be a pfs when you get home if it gets home.

Thank goodness the Rod Run is a car show again and not a used car lot with usual used car salesmen. Anybody that would buy so called rare car off the side of the road in a little short of a full deck.

Sehr romantisch, ich wuensche mir, nochmals zurueckzukehren, besuchte das Hotel zuletzt Mitte der 60er Jahre, und wohne seit ueber 2 Jahrzehnten in den USA. Meine Eltern haben die Jahre nach dem 2. Wektkrieg in Rothenburg verbracht und sind jedes Jahr fuer einen Kurzurlaub zurueckgekommen. Schoene Erinnerungen sind fuer mich mit dieser Staette verbunden. ❤

Too bad that the tourist trade is only centered on the warm months. I am sure that the hotels/motels/etc. would provide some attractive rates for the “off season” visitors.
