What lockout? Is it that stupid wait log schedule that doesn’t allow to work when you want? It always comes back to Democrats. Exploit and extract is all they do. TLC is the most treacherous and oppressive bureau ever. Otherwise regarding pay, many of these drivers are self-entitled. They want to make $300 a day for 5 trips. Real ethical drivers understand the importance of working throughout the five boroughs and not being too picky. They’ll usually make between 250-300 daily avg on 10-15 trips. Then you have the majority of these drivers who just want to sit at the cell phone lot at the airports anticipating a fare to Canada or some sht, blow two hours of the day in the car without pay. Same drivers will score a fare at the terminal, destination Manhattan or Downtown Bk rack up around $35-50 depending on time of day, immediately land another fare to the Bx, drop off and go offline to avoid receiving requests up there. This picky game adds up to virtually spending the whole day in the car to make no money. Thus they want a minimum wage to get paid while bs’ing. Don’t get me wrong, there are parts of the city to avoid (go offline ) that are dangerous for safety and the accounts ( RAINN), so if you drop off in Brownsville, you can slide south to Canarsie or two doors over the opposite direction into Bushwick where you can make good money ping-pinging all over the neighborhood without driving any further out the area than East Williamsburg or Ridgewood and make $200 in 4 hrs. But if you’re that Manhattan-JFK pipeline guy, you’re at this rally.
