This version of the song comes from the rare Apple Acetate vinyl. Basically it's a work-in-progress of the song that includes an unused guitar solo by Keith in the middle and end parts of the song. Extremely rare!!

A newly unearthed Rolling Stones outtake sung by Keith Richards from the Bridges To Babylon Sessions. Recorded 13th March - July 1997: Los Angeles, California, Ocean Way Recording Studios. If you would like some more rare Rolling Stones outtakes let me know in the comments!! Enjoy!!
Harley Mandel is a underrated guitar player. Never been talking so much about him.😢
Very nice indeed! A daily dose of this is recommended. Thanks|
Love my mate Keef
The same piano used for Brown Sugar with Ian Stu, gives it that unique touch.
Great piano work. Reminds me of Boogie With Stu from Physical Graffiti.
100 %
🤩🥰
They should have given Stu more room to boogie...
Did you ask for permission to the OP before posting to YT? If not chances are that magic well is going to run dry...
Are you the copyright police? Then I wouldn't worry about it
So you didn't ask...what an idiot. @@jordylicks9624
Hey Jordy - you turn up the most amazing goods! Thanks so much. Rick
Hey there, Jordy! Good to see you are back on YT. I just subbed. Looking forward to all your great material. Happy New Year! Rick
Nice to hear Bill ......his bass makes them all sound better....
Finished by 1974😂 clearly not.
Se puede escuchar la guitarra de Harvey Mandel,..ese solo de guitarra es muy parecido, en partes, a su intervencion en Hot Stuff..
Charlie is good
I always wondered where Mandel came from? Keef sounds awesome here btw.
The U.S. He played with Canned Heat and John Mayall.
@@BigSky1 Thank You, after Blind Owl Wilson I guess?
@@williamtynertyner1425 He was in the band with Wilson. He replaced Henry Vestine and plays on Let’s Work Together.
@@BigSky1 Thank You
First came to fame on the first Charlie Musselwhite album. Then his solo albums.
Why does this swing so much?
Charlie , Bill and Keith ?
@@jimfritz2087 100%, in that order!

You got more outtakes on Bridges to Babylon...?
@Studio-qm1hy I do have some more that I’ll post up soon!
Seems to be without a proper title. My suggestion (in case they need one for the boxed set)? Just Chuckin' Around.
yessir
Never was cut with any strings. Totally fake
@@flyingburritobro68 this was released on an official ABKCO release dump back in 2018 or something so yes it is real
That's the tack piano that was written about in the Stanly Booth book, I believe.
The same one used for Brown Sugar with Stu.
Black and Blue Rules 💙
Kind of reminds me of the beginning of Wish You Were Here.
Strings worked on Moonlight Mile though.
YEAH!!!
Beautiful song...
Great
Nope.
Cause I love it too much.
Two 👍Up Jaggers Ass crack

2:12 start a guitar solo which seems played by Harvey Mandel
That sounds right to my ear.
That is correct, when Taylor left they went after mandel who appears as the other guitar player in some black and blue songs. They finally decided that Ron wood was a better fit because they wanted to change the style they had in the early 70s with mick. Then we have some girls with the full incorporation of Ron wood and their style certainly changed.
who is playing the piano?
@@glimmertwins69 isnt it billy Preston? I think mandel played in hot stuff and memory motel as well
First time hearing this and dammmm rocking it
This will be on the reissue of Black AND Blue, by the way Merry Christmas and more Blues, Rock and Boogie Woogie.
Rolling Stones were finished by 1974
It sounds like to me, Keith overdubbed the solo's after the completion of the song. Good thing they took it out, in my opinion!
Yeah, the solos are cool to hear but ultimately glad they were edited out in the final cut
Love hearing Keith rock out on Chuck Berry riffs… you can tell he’s really enjoying himself here, he’s got such an uncanny connection with Chuck’s music! ❤
Unheimlich" ist das richtige Wort.
😅❤
Very good quality 👌
Pointless warm up jam.Rock and roll is mostly boreing now.Save a few exeptions. Was beautiful once.Maybe again.Old man for now though

Beats listening to Ron Wood
@@recordguy4321 no Ronnie Wood slander on my videos. He’s just as important to the Stones as Brian and Taylor were
@@jordylicks9624 get the wax out of your ears he SUCKS big time
@@recordguy4321 Ron was excellent in the Faces.
@@larryn2682 but not in the Stones especially following Jones, then Taylor!
Ron's music pedigree goes back as far as jeff beck & it was the stones that wanted him ,who else would be the right fit especially as Keith had already played with the faces
Wow, this is pretty unsightly, lol. I probably don't have to tell you not to take that personally. Just a very peculiar cover photo, and not CGIed all that well - perhaps intentionally? Mick's head looks too big for his body - well, bigger than usual, at least.
@@Dani92670 this is a promotional image the Stones did for Sticky Fingers. Not sure if your comment is saying it’s not real but it indeed is 100% real
@jordylicks9624 must not be a true stones fan don't take that personally lol
should have made the cut Keef
Like it!!!❤❤❤
😂😂😂😂😂Danke. Fürs Senden 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Much better than "Thief in the Night"
floating out of your body into the universe never to come back
I love Billy Preston. Whoa. But, Keith is in my today for some reason. I wish I could find that song about pushing the girl in a snow sleigh.
Now that is good stuff. I would assume that’s Ian Stewart on piano. Or was it Billy Preston? Either way, great groove.
I'm pretty sure it's Stew on this track, but Preston did a lot of work on the album.
It's Stu
